Last week, Ford sent cancelation emails to the order holders and reservationists who did not convert to an order by Nov. 21, 2022. The cancelation should have been elective and the email not a surprise to recipients, but Ford recently updated the Bronco FAQs page for people seeking more information.

Why is Ford canceling Bronco reservations and orders?
To better serve order holders and manage constrained commodities, reservation and order holders were contacted in September 2022 and instructed to update their reservation/order to a 2023 model year Bronco by November 21, 2022. If you chose not to update your reservation/order to a 2023 model year Bronco, your reservation/order will be canceled, and deposit refunded starting January 23, 2023.
If you have a 2023 model year Bronco order, you are not impacted.
How do I know if my reservation/order was canceled?
If your reservation/order was canceled, you will receive a notification from Ford that it was canceled and your $100 reservation deposit will be refunded automatically.
What do I need to do to get my refund?
The initial $100 reservation deposit will be refunded automatically and can take up to 20 business days. If any additional deposits were required by your Ford Dealer, reach out to them for assistance.
Why was my reservation canceled?
Your reservation was canceled because it was not converted to a 2023 model year order before November 21, 2022.
Why was my order canceled?
Your order was canceled because it was not updated for the 2023 model year before November 21, 2022. If you believe this was in error and are still interested in ordering a Bronco, talk to a dealer about placing a new order once the 2023 Bronco Order Bank is open.
There was an error, and my reservation/order has been canceled, how do I get it reinstated?
Unfortunately, if your reservation or order has been canceled, it cannot be reinstated. If you are still interested in purchasing a Ford Bronco, please talk to your dealer about expressing interest in placing a new order.
Can I place a new order? If not now, when?
Ford is not currently accepting new customer orders. Contact your dealer to express interest in placing an order.
Do I lose my place in line now that my reservation/order is canceled?
Yes, if your reservation/order was canceled, you will need to contact your dealer about placing a new 2023 model year Bronco reservation when the 2023 Bronco Order Bank opens. New orders will be prioritized based on when they are placed.
I was hoping to use my reservation to order future special editions. How can I order special editions moving forward?
Talk to your dealer and express your interest in Bronco special editions.
What happens to my private offer now that my reservation/order is canceled?
If your reservation/order was canceled and you wish to place a new order in 2023, you will not receive the private offer associated with your previous reservation/order. All new 2023 orders will be subject to 2023 model year current pricing levels.
What if the form of payment I used when I placed my reservation has changed?
If your form of payment has changed, contact your dealer to supply an alternative refund method.
