These new items have a retro look and are inspired by our favorite off-roaders of the 1970s. Late in that decade, Ford Motor Company introduced the Free Wheeling Package on some of its vehicles, including the Ford Bronco. The models were a limited-run and featured tri-color graphics with red, orange, and yellow striping. The colorful package also added painted steel wheels, and black finishes on the grilles, mirrors, and bumpers.
The new Ford Bronco Free Wheeling Collection is now available in the Bronco Nation online store. It includes a retro stripes tee, a 6-panel patch hat, and a 3-pack patch set… all of which are must-haves for any Bronco enthusiast.
The Free Wheeling Package made the Ford Bronco even more iconic in the 1970s.

I asked Bronco Nation’s London what inspired this new merchandise. “The Free Wheeling collection represents a nostalgic piece of automotive history,” she said. “Broncos equipped with the Free Wheeling Package are still highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts today. So it makes sense that they’d also appreciate some gear that captures the adventurous spirit of the iconic 70s Bronco, and appeals to the nostalgia for off-road culture.”
Why is it called "Free Wheeling"?
These new designs draw inspiration from the iconic Bronco package of the 1970s. The name pays homage to the classic, colorful vehicle that emphasized style and freedom, celebrating the Bronco's adventurous spirit and connection to outdoor exploration.
