New Adventures Launched and Loading: Ford Hidden Wonders Challenge

Ford owners, it’s time to saddle up for some fun –– a new experience has just been released for adventurers who like a challenge and love getting off the pavement.

Introducing: Hidden Wonders Challenge

Hidden Wonders is an off-road adventure that combines trail driving, exploration, clues, and puzzles. If it sounds familiar, that’s because the experience has been piloted before, and several Bronco Nation members have already completed a version.

Now it’s back and expanded with new locations, trails, puzzles, and prizes.

How to Play

Go to fordhiddenwonders.com and choose a trail that matches your vehicle and skill level. Purchase the guidebook for the trails of your choice and follow along off-road. Solve challenges to compete the adventure. 

You'll earn a unique collectible sticker for each trail completed. The more trails you complete, the more exclusive stickers you can earn and proudly display!

Who It’s For

The game series is set up for owners of capable Ford vehicles. Bronco Sport, Bronco, Bronco Raptor, Explorer, Expedition, Ranger, Ranger Raptor, F-150, and F-150 Raptor owners can all find a trail perfect for their SUV or truck.

If you like off-roading on your own or with a small group and feel equipped to follow navigation already laid out, then these adventures will be right up your alley. Each Hidden Wonders Challenge is a self-guided adventure, with routes, clues, and insider knowledge thoughtfully crafted by expert Trail Guides who know these places best, meaning the research and planning work has been done for you. 

You’ll be provided with a guidebook, onX navigation, and GPX files. Make the experience as easy as you like by following turn-by-turn directions or increase the challenge by plotting your own way using provided coordinates.

Don’t forget: Now through December 22, 2028, Ford and onX are collaborating to offer eligible Ford owners one year of complimentary access across the highest tier of all five onX apps* – onX Offroad, Hunt, Backcountry, TroutRoutes and Fish Midwest – which can be used seamlessly in-vehicle via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

The Playgrounds

Ford Hidden Wonders features nine trails across three iconic destinations — Moab, Denver, and Las Vegas. Uncover the stories and hidden places most travelers never find.

Moab

• Dome Plateau: Explore a quieter side of Moab with hidden arches, ancient petroglyphs, mining camps, and sweeping river views.
• Hurrah Pass to Chicken Corners: Follow the Colorado River through Kane Springs Canyon, over Hurrah Pass, and along high benches to sweeping canyon views.
• Sevenmile Rim: Cross open desert past Uranium Arch, Monitor and Merrimac Buttes, and Sevenmile Canyon, with views across Moab’s red-rock country.

Denver | Coming Soon!

• Boreas Pass: A graded railroad grade over the divide, past the ruins of Boreas station and the old Como rail yard.
• Georgia Pass: A rocky climb to a 11,585 ft saddle on the Continental Divide, with the Tenmile Range across the valley.
• Rollins Pass West: Nineteen miles of abandoned railroad grade up to Yankee Doodle Lake and the trestles above it.

Las Vegas | Coming Soon!

• Burro Wash: A desert wash between rock walls, in country the bighorn have to themselves.
• Delamar Ghost Town: Twenty-seven miles out to the Nevada gold camp they called the Widowmaker.
• Nelson Rollercoaster to Aztec Wash: Rolling dips through the hills above Nelson, out to Eldorado Canyon and back.

Each trail includes recommended vehicle types, difficulty ratings, terrain details, and any known obstacles. Be sure to review this information before purchasing to ensure the trail is a good fit for your vehicle and experience level.

Trail difficulty is rated on a scale of 1 to 10 based on the terrain, obstacles, and driving conditions you may encounter.

• 1 to 3 (Easy): Maintained roads and mild terrain with few obstacles. Suitable for most vehicles.
• 4 to 6 (Intermediate): Rougher surfaces, steeper grades, ruts, loose rocks, sand, mud, or other moderate obstacles. May require additional vehicle capability and driver experience.
• 7 to 10 (Hard): Technical terrain with significant obstacles such as ledges, deep ruts, water crossings, off-camber sections, erosion, or challenging conditions. Recommended for experienced drivers and properly equipped vehicles.

Difficulty ratings are based on typical trail conditions and may consider factors such as road surface, grades, rocks, sand, mud, water crossings, obstacle height, and overall technical challenges. Trail conditions can change due to weather, erosion, closures, or new obstacles, so always review the trail description, understand your vehicle's capabilities, and use good judgment before heading out.
