Hey Bronco Nation Fam! It's Aly DuBois.

Remember my last article saying that I would talk about an epic trip to Bronco Off-Roadeo Texas? Well, we are all back, and it was amazing!

The Michigan Bronco Club and friends had an epic adventure day on February 24th. What started off as me and one of my Ford Bronco customers ended up turning into a full day of Bronco enthusiasts and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

The Inspiration Behind Our Bronco Off-Roadeo Trip

Let’s go back to how all this started for me. Back in 2020 when I was asked to be our Bronco Specialist I had no intention of getting one, don’t get me wrong I loved the early gen Broncos and wanted a classic in Caribbean Turquoise in the worst way. I was an F-150 girl. I loved my 2020 F-150 Lariat. We had a dealer preview starting in March of 2021 that was really the first time a lot of us got to see the Broncos in person. It’s where I met Bronco Off-Roadeo trail guide Mike Clouds and we got to tackle the course together. That’s where I fell in love with the Bronco and thought this was the coolest thing on the market. I wanted to get people to Texas to experience Bronco like I had from the start. Bronco Off-Roadeo gives newbies like myself a full day to learn and ask questions! Don’t take that as this is only for newbies. I’ve been to the Texas location four times, and I’ve learned something new during every visit.

Starting your Day at Bronco Off-Roadeo

Let’s talk about Bronco Off-Roadeo and what to expect. You start the morning at basecamp with introductions. You get to meet the trail guides that morning, hear about their backgrounds, and they get to know you! After introductions, you’ll break into groups and hit the ORX course! You'll get to learn the different modes and tools Bronco has to offer then use that knowledge on the trial immediately after. If you’re anything like me and you’re a hands-on learner than this experience is incredible! Having dealer experience doing Bronco deliveries, there is only so much we can teach you at the dealer. This gets you out in the wild learning hands on!

After the ORX Course, you hit the trails for a bit before you break for lunch (the food is delicious). Looking around everyone was smiling ear-to-ear and talking about how much fun they were already having, and we didn’t even get to the big stuff yet! That’s what I really like about Off-Roadeo, the group setting. Yes, a lot of us kind of knew each other walking into Off-Roadeo, but some of us have never met in person! Just online (Instagram/Facebook) friends.

Afternoon Obstacles

After the lunch break is when some of the bigger obstacles happen! Our group selected the full day experience for owners. Bronco Off-Roadeo now has an option for a half day adventure.

Throughout the day you are using different GOAT modes, seeing what it’s like in 4H and 4L, and when you should use each. The two things I love testing my skills on are using lockers and trying not to use lockers. The Off-Roadeo trail guides help you with all of that. Don’t be afraid to ask questions either. That’s why they are there!

Now I won’t talk about all the obstacles… that really should be a surprise! But at the end of the day everyone was grinning ear to ear, going over what they learned, or maybe they learned something that was on their Bronco they didn’t know they had! I will say going down with a group of people you know was definitely an amazing experience. Not only did it make everyone closer as friends, but we have memories to laugh about for years to come.

Meeting the Broncos of Texas Club

Now the icing on the top of this trip was meeting members of Broncos of Texas! When they reached out wanting to give us a big ole’ Texas welcome, we were ecstatic to meet other Bronco owners. I was bummed we didn’t have our personal Broncos with us, but it was so cool seeing other Broncos and meeting their owners. And you can bet we were showing photos of our Broncos back home. We were able to hang out, eat a second dinner because Texas BBQ is absolutely amazing, trade stickers/patches, and talk about Bronco mods. Most of the Bronco of Texas group have been to Off-Roadeo so we were able to reminisce about the day and talk about what we have learned and what we couldn’t believe we were doing by the end of the day.

Now how do you get a group of 20+ people in the same group at Bronco off Roadeo?  Give them a call! The Bronco Off-Roadeo team is absolutely amazing! They are on top of everything and are in constant communication with you to set everything up. Everything about our trip went flawlessly and without their help this couldn’t have happened. I really encourage anyone wanting to go to Off-Roadeo, but maybe too scared to go alone to use social media like the Bronco Nation Forum, Instagram, Facebook groups, heck find me on social media, and I can help you create a post wanting to go. You don’t have to be an expert with your Bronco. You could have just gotten the keys. Grab a friend and make a weekend trip out of it. I promise it’s worth it and it’s something you’ll talk about for years to come!
