Hey Bronco Nation! Wanted to take a minute to introduce you to Kyle Stone. He’s a Bronco Nation member, a State of Michigan Master Certified Mechanic, and a Senior Master Technician through Ford. Kyle has already shared his insight on some previous maintenance-related stories, and he’ll be contributing even more in the future.
As a recent Ford Bronco owner himself and with his years of experience as a service shop foreman at Brighton Ford, Kyle brings a valuable perspective to the Nation. He’ll be able to share experiences he has driving, modifying and repairing with his own 2022 Black Diamond 2-Door Bronco, while also offering learnings he discovers while servicing others that are brought to the dealership.
"I got started in automotive and working on cars at age 14 with my uncle, who got me a tool set for my birthday (I still use parts of that set to this day),” said Kyle. “My first experience working on a car was upgrading the suspension and brake system on his Ford Focus… and that started a lifelong passion and addiction.”
He got his associate’s degree in automotive technology, found his place at the local Ford dealership, and has never looked back.
And then he purchased his Ford Bronco in September of 2023, and everything changed. “After my purchase, I was somewhat quick to start adding modifications and to start learning about off-roading,” he said. “I watched quite a few Bronco Nation videos on the basics of off roading before my first excursion — a Michigan Bronco Club Takeover at Holly Oaks — and quickly realized there was a lot more to learn than meets the eye.”
Kyle has continued to up his off-roading game, heading out to Moab in March of 2024 to experience Bronco Off-Roadeo with his uncle. Plus, he’s gotten more involved with the Bronco Nation, attending several Michigan Bronco events, and even drove his Bronco to Colorado for the 2024 Super Cel West.
“I've had an amazing time so far — meeting new friends and learning more about myself, my vehicle, and the group of people that are in the community,” said Kyle. “I look forward to learning more about off-roading, and sharing what I can to support the members of this community and their Broncos.”
