The Bronco and Bronco Raptor come with some great engines, but nothing stops owners’ desires for modifications. Just this year, we’ve seen the Bronco get a completed 5.0L Coyote V8 and a 7.3L Godzilla V8, plus a 7.3L Godzilla swap for the Bronco Raptor.

Unlike lights, wheels, lifts, or other smaller additions and alterations, engine swaps will require a much fatter wallet. Are the end results worth it? That’s for you to decide, and enthusiasts to prove online.
V8 Raptor vs. Stock(ish) Raptor
Last week, Bronco owner, “professional Instalander,” and YouTuber Popo_Patty, AKA Caleb, showed off the results of what was likely the world’s first factory-integrated V8 Godzilla Bronco Raptor drag racing a mostly stock Raptor.
In the video, you meet Dan, with his factory 3.0L EcoBoost-powered Raptor, and Eric, with his Raptor, which has the 7.3L Godzilla, done by Juicy Motorsports.
The Vehicles
- Dan’s 2024 3.0L V6 Bronco Raptor with ProCal tune (455 horsepower and 536 lb.ft. of torque at crank) and factory 10R60 transmission on 37s
- Eric’s 2022 7.3L V8 Bronco Raptor (approximately 420-440 horsepower and 483 lb.ft. of torque at the wheels) with 10R80 transmission on 40s
Hear more from the owners on their Bronco Raptors before watching them line up and take off. We know you'll enjoy this video!
