Yesterday, the Ford Bronco team told Bronco Nation X-Plan was now available for the Bronco in 2024. What is X-Plan, and what does that mean for you?

Ford’s X-Plan

Ford has a series of Employee Purchase Plan pricing that allows current and retired employees, dealers, and friends and family to receive money off its lineup of vehicles.

The plans are named by a series of letters. While there are nuances to these, the categories can be defined as:

  • A-Plan: Ford employees and their immediate family members
  • Z-Plan: Retired Ford employees and surviving spouses
  • D-Plan: Ford dealership employees and eligible family members
  • X-Plan: Non-Ford employees –– extended family, friends, suppliers, etc.

Why This Is News

Historically, Ford Motor Company has gated X-Plan availability for the Bronco since launch, as well as A-, Z-, and D-Plan pricing on specialty Broncos including the Bronco Raptor, Heritage Limited Edition, and even the First Edition.

You will find exceptions: Some community members report their dealer sold them their order under special pricing, in addition to the price protection or private offers available to many. For most orders, however, X-Plan has been out of reach –– until now.

What Is the Benefit for You?

We spoke to Bronco Nation member and Brighton Ford Bronco Specialist Aly DuBois, and at the time of conversation, it appeared documentation was still forthcoming for dealers, and the Bronco FAQs still reflect prior allowances. However, once dealers are aware of the change, you may be able to save on the purchase of a Bronco.

How much will you save? X-Plan is a pre-determined price based on dealer invoice or A-Plan pricing. Per other offerings of X-Plan, you could expect to receive A-Plan pricing, plus 4%, plus a $150 admin fee, though the details are yet to be confirmed for Bronco.

Exclusions still apply to X-Plan on the Bronco brand; talk to your dealer about your options. And stay tuned for more coverage on the topic from the Bronco Nation in the coming weeks.
