Last month, Ford Motor Company released the 2025 Bronco order guide to dealers, on the same day the new Bronco Stroppe Special Edition debuted. Since then, potential customers and curious owners have been interested ordering the Stroppe and brought-back Base, plus exploring pricing and updates the new model year brings.

For those unfamiliar with a model year changeover, the order guide is one of the first steps in the process. Once the order guide is out, Ford updates its online configurator, Build & Price, and opens the order banks, usually in short order.

With the 2025MY, this process has stretched longer than Bronco buyers are used to –– the community is still waiting on Build & Price to update for the upcoming model year. The big question for most people is pricing, though some shoppers, eager to secure a Stroppe, have already communicated their intent to their dealer, without knowing that.

Ordering a Bronco: The Checklist

While the Bronco world waits, we’d like to go over ordering basics, so you can be prepared to have a good buying experience when the time comes. If you have additional tips or suggestions you’ve picked up over the last four years or would like the community’s help on answering a question, head to the comments section below!

1. Decide on the Bronco you want. The order guide is a helpful place to start since it lays out all the trims and options available for 2025, including paint colors and wheels. The downside is that it can be overwhelming to read. If you’re newer to ordering a Bronco, you may be better off waiting for B&P to update. On B&P, you can create your dream vehicle and see a pricing summary and options breakdown. If you’re on the fence, you can also compare models on the site. Just be careful to confirm details with your dealer, as online images and information may vary from what is produced or available.

2. Find a dealership. Buyers can use B&P’s online form to contact a nearby Ford dealer to begin the order process. Or, print out the summary and take it to your preferred Ford dealer in person. If you’re in need of a recommendation, you can always ask the Bronco forums as a starting point. Pair suggestions with your own research to make sure they fit your needs (MSRP, shipping, etc.). Once you make a choice, chat with your potential salesperson. Make sure you are meshing, and ask about vehicle allocations –– though not all dealerships will tell you where you stand.

Long McArthur Ford’s Tim Bartz explains how Ford’s allocation system works and how it can affect your order: At the most basic level, dealerships get a certain amount of allocations. If the orders taken outnumber that amount, you may be waiting longer for your order to be scheduled for production.

3. Determine all your desired options and add-ons. Your salesperson will select them for your order. Then, review your web-based dealer ordering (WBDO) system printout carefully, to make sure everything is included that you want.

4. Agree on the terms of sale. Historically, Ford has recommended getting a signed purchase agreement on orders, since dealerships are independent. Final price is between you and the dealer, and you want this in writing in case of turnover or, sadly, forgotten/broken verbal promises. Once the order is entered, double-check the dealer order receipt acknowledgement (DORA) for accuracy.

5. Wait for your order to be scheduled, produced, and delivered! Production for the 2025 Broncos will likely begin in January.
