The Bronco Nation community is large, over 60,000 members and growing. That means there’s lots of Broncos being used and modified in a bunch of different ways. Plenty of us have stock vehicles, but many have added your own touches, from small to extensive. Whether you’re using your Bronco as a daily driver or a dedicated trail rig, the Bronco forums can be a great spot to gather inspiration and get feedback from owners who have altered their 4x4.

We recently asked members of the community to show off pictures of their Bronco and share their specs: Check out these six builds, and submit your own for April!

Unicorn’s 2023 Heritage Limited

Unicorn wanted a rock crawling and mountain trail running Bronco that was decent at desert racing. For that, he knew he’d need strong components, increased clearance, and stepped-up suspension. What better place to start than 74Weld’s Stage 3 steering rack and portals, a brand proven in race vehicles like Loren Healy and Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s 4400 Broncos?

While he still needs to purchase an axle truss, underbody armor, and rock lights, and install his Core 4x4 upper and lower control arms and track bar, RPG tie rods, a Ford Performance calibration, and more, Unicorn has got a lot done on his “Boulder Mountain Edition,” including:

  • 35-spline hardened axle shafts in full float
  • Larger brake rotors (front from Toyota, rear is custom)
  • King 2.5” coil-overs
  • Rock Slide Engineering steps/sliders with added wrap and custom lights
  • KC HiLiTES light bar
  • Black Oak LED ditch lights
  • Fab Fours spare delete with custom mount for 3-gallon gas cans
  • Midland MXT575 with custom mount for ghost antenna
  • Full STEK 10mm paint protection film
  • Ceramic 20% window tint

Jakob1972’s 2022 Everglades

Jakob1972 has kept his Everglades closer to stock, as it already comes with some nice off-road add-ons from the factory, including the WARN winch and snorkel. A lot of his efforts have gone toward the matching travel trailer he built from the ground up. His modifications to “Darryl” include:

  • J&L oil separator
  • 170A Anderson plug for portable air compressor
  • Winch cover
  • Stubby antenna
  • Trailer hitch and wiring

Take a look at his trailer build, and ask any questions you have about it!

Sdouglass5558’s 2023 Outer Banks

Sdouglass5558 is still breaking in his Bronco (he was at 5,000 on the odo in February), but he’s found time to add on a few details while keeping it in line with his classic Bronco vision. His modifications and accessories include:

  • 1.25" Spidertrax spacers
  • RIGID ditch lights w/ covers
  • 20% 3M window tint
  • Aeroskin hood deflector
  • Ceramic coating
  • Paracord handles

68Rcodeman’s 1st Gen

68Rcodeman has an Early Bronco –– all original panels and tastefully transformed with a King Ranch theme and powertrain swap. Engines offered in 1968 from the factory were the 170-ci 6-cylinder, 289-ci 6-cylinder, and the 302 V-8, and the 3-speed manual transmission. Air conditioning didn’t show up in the Broncos until 1978. He’s included:

  • 4.6 liter 32 valve Cobra motor with automatic overdrive transmission
  • AC
  • Hands-free audio and phone with navigation

He’ll have this beauty at Super Celebration East, so if you’re attending as well, be sure to look for it!

Lots O Fords’ 2023 Badlands

As his username suggest, Lots O Fords is no stranger to the Blue Oval, or Bronco specifically. His 2023 Badlands joins a 93 Bronco XLT, among other off-roading vehicles. Originally, he was after a Heritage Limited 2-door, but he started looking for other options when last year’s strike occurred. With that scene set, you can understand where he was headed with the Oxford White-painted top and grille and powder-coated beauty rings he had the dealer execute before he took delivery. In time, he swapped that grille for an OEM Heritage grille, and the build continues to evolve. His modifications, present and future, include:

  • Vintage strip
  • Tailgate table
  • Rock lights
  • Ditch lights
  • Custom dog crate
  • XPEL 10mm paint protection film and ceramic coating
  • Shock bash plate
  • Ford Performance severe duty rack
  • Rhino rack
  • Silver Bronco fender script

See more about his custom dog crate (with gear skid and storage underneath) in the forums … and read about how that paint protection held up off-road!
