A Racing Pioneer
Stroppe's career began in the 1940s, and by the 1960s, he had established himself as a formidable contestant in various racing disciplines. Recognizing the potential of the new Bronco, Stroppe transformed it into a dominant force, and in 1969, a Stroppe-prepared Bronco, driven by Larry Minor and Rod Hall, achieved an overall victory at the Baja 1000, marking the first time a 4x4 vehicle claimed this honor.

Capitalizing on racing successes, Stroppe collaborated with Ford to produce the Baja Bronco from 1971 to 1975. These limited-edition high-performance vehicles were tailored for off-road racing and featured enhancements such as a reinforced chassis, upgraded suspension, and the Stroppe racing livery. Approximately 650 of these special Broncos were produced, making them coveted collector's items.
