With the Ford Bronco entering its sixth model year, owners and enthusiasts have seen enough highs (new model releases, suspension upgrades, rear vents) and lows (retired paint colors, canceled trims, hardtop offering delays) to be equal parts slightly excited and nervous when the new order guide drops.

The order guide for the 2026 model year has dropped, Build & Price is updating, and everything looks fine, in a business as usual sort of way. There are things to be happy and unhappy about depending on what's important to you, but overall, it’s a quieter year for changes, including starting price costs. Let’s dive in.

2026 Bronco Starting Prices

  • Base – $40,495 for 2- or 4-door (2025 pricing: $39,995)
  • Big Bend – $40,995 (2025 pricing: $40,845)
  • Outer Banks – $48,090 (2025 pricing: $47,940)
  • Outer Banks with 60th Anniversary Package – $65,560
  • Badlands – $48,890 for 2- or 4-door (2025 pricing: $49,585)
  • Heritage – $51,625 (2025 pricing: $51,475)
  • Stroppe – $69,995 (2025 pricing: $75,635)
  • Raptor – $79,995 (2025 pricing: $79,995)

Campaign to Save the Two Doors

2025 Bronco Stroppe

This news is one of the bigger updates, and it will excite some and disappoint others. The Stroppe Edition, released a year ago today, has moved from a two-door only trim to a 4-door only trim.

Current Stroppe owners, your Bronco just became rarer, and those of you who want the extra space, your options only got broader. Now, every Bronco in the lineup offers the most ease of entry for all passengers.

For those of us who prefer our shorter wheelbases, we are now down to only the Base and Badlands offered in the configuration we like. If we want to see both door-count variants roaming the streets and the trails, it’s time to get serious about convincing others that we have plenty of room for gear in the back plus a better breakover angle, so they take another look on the lot.

Color Deletions and Additions

Eruption Green Metallic, introduced for 2022, has been retired, along with Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat and Robin’s Egg Blue.

New to the 6th gen Bronco lineup are Wimbledon White for the 60th Anniversary Package and Avalanche. Avalanche, borrowed from Ford’s trucks, will be available on all trims except the Stroppe and when a package doesn’t allow it, like on the 60th.

Marsh Gray and Oxford White will now be available on the Heritage Edition.

More Flavors than Baskin-Robbins

On the topic of colors, the 4-door Badlands just got one of its most interesting updates: The ability to mix and match dozens of body colors and painted roofs –– 37 combinations in total, Haley Skiko, Bronco brand manager, informed Bronco Nation. Want a Velocity Blue body with an Avalanche top? You got it. How about a Marsh Gray body with a Desert Sand top? It's yours. The painted roof upgrade is a $500 option.

Product Updates

2026 Bronco A-Pillar Grab Handles

It seems the one major interior/exterior change for the 2026 model year is the new A-pillar grab handles, first seen on the 2026 60th Anniversary Package at the birthday reveal in August, and available on all trims.

Sasquatch Package wheels

The Sasquatch Package wheels are now called Matte Black Alloy instead of Carbonized Gray Alloy, but the design remains the same. Big Bend’s Black Diamond Package will now have steel wheels instead of aluminum.

The only other cosmetic change listed in the order guide? Big Bend loses its leather gear shift knob.

Mechanically, the Heritage Edition can now be ordered with the 10-speed automatic transmission paired with the 2.3L engine, instead of forcing customers up to the 2.7L as in 2025.

60th Anniversary Package

2026 Bronco 60th Anniversary Package

As we know from earlier this year, for 2026, Ford has introduced this celebratory package honoring six decades of the legendary SUV. You can add it to the Outer Banks trim and get it on Wimbledon White or Ruby Red body color.

Sta-Bar Disconnect, but at a Cost?

Badlands Front Stabilizer Bar Disconnect

Interestingly, the front stabilizer bar disconnect, standard on Badlands up to this point, is now optional on the trim when Sasquatch isn’t selected. If you don't want to do an aftermarket fix later, you may still want to add it on for $1,305. Many people order a Badlands without Sasquatch with plans to upfit 35s after the fact. Some order the Bronco with no plans to off-road, then their complimentary visit to Bronco Off-Roadeo changes everything. As the community has seen with auxiliary switches and hard tops, you’ll spend more to add on factory items after delivery. While the stabilizer bar disconnect is not a necessary component for enjoying your Bronco on the trail, it remains a useful feature.

Ford Connectivity Package

One year of the Ford Connectivity Package is included with vehicle purchase, and a one-time purchase for 7 years of connection can be optioned. The Ford Connectivity Package includes (features may vary by make and model):

  • Unlimited Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • Audio and Video Streaming
  • Voice assistant
  • Entertainment

Miscellaneous Changes

There are a few other minor changes listed, like new Dealer Installed Options (DIO):

  • 17” Magnetic Gray Mid Gloss-painted Alloy Wheels
  • 35” Spare Tire Cover (60th Anniversary Edition)
  • Battery Jumpstart Kit
  • Branded Tool Kit

Other items that have changed include the loss of rear carpet floor mats in the Outer Banks and Badlands, and no universal garage door opener.

Finally, the G.O.A.T. Modes for Badlands are listed as Normal, ECO, Slippery, Off-Road, Sport, Rock-Crawl, and Baja. Currently, Badlands has Mud/Ruts and Sand, and no Sport from factory. Read more about the Off-Road G.O.A.T. Mode in Melissa's article for the Bronco Sport.

Your Thoughts On 2026

We’ll continue our 2026 model year coverage in the coming days and weeks. And tune in to Bronco Nation member Tim Bartz’s content surrounding the order banks on YouTube under Long McArthur Ford; like Bronco Nation staff, Tim goes line by line comparing the new order guide to previous years’ so he doesn’t miss a thing.

What do you think of what you’ve seen so far? Will you buy a Stroppe now that it is a 4-door trim? Personally, I’m sticking with my 2021 Badlands, but how many of you are moving into a 2026?
