Today, Ford released the MY25 order guide for Bronco (full PDF in the forums). We break down what’s new and what is going away. There’s big news in several areas.
Trims
The Base is back! Almost. It will be a late availability option in 2025. Additionally, the Stroppe Edition, announced today, joins the lineup.
- Base (late availability)
- Big Bend
- Outer Banks
- Heritage Edition
- Badlands
- Stroppe Edition
- Raptor
The trims lost are Wildtrak, which Stroppe is replacing, and the Heritage Limited Edition, which was always meant as a two model year run. Black Diamond and Everglades has also left the stable.
If you’ve been set on one of these trims but were waiting to see 2025 news before ordering, you still have time to secure one by checking dealer lots.
Add-On Packages
Even though Black Diamond has been retired as a trim, Big Bend gains it as a package, like Sport has. Included are things like washout flooring, full vehicle steel bash plates, rock rails, and more.
Additional packages for 2025 include the Free Wheeling Package announced last week for Big Bend only, plus the Black Appearance Package (Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands) and Raptor’s Shadow Black Appearance Package.
Also listed is the Matte Film Protection Package, graphics packages (Black Diamond and Sasquatch), and the Ford Integrated Tether System (FITS) Accessory Package, optional on all series, which includes a base plate, console cupholder, and small and large bins. See Maverick’s for an idea.
Engines and Transmissions
Other than door count, these might be options people feel most passionate about. Manual lovers, rejoice. Ford is keeping the 7-speed transmission for 2025. You can get it in the Base, Big Bend, Badlands, and Heritage. Potential buyers who want a V-8 in standard trim Bronco are less lucky. The powertrain options stay the same for the upcoming model year.
One disappointing change for Badlands is the loss of the 2.7L on a 2-door. Now, 2-door Badlands can only be ordered with the 2.3L engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission. You’ll have to move up to a 4-door to get the 2.7L.
Door-Count Options
Big Bend and Heritage lose the option for a 2-door vehicle, joining Outer Banks and Raptor as 4-door Broncos only.
Colors –– New and Deleted
Three colors join the ’25 Bronco family: Marsh Gray, seen recently on the 2025 Bronco Raptor; Ruby Red, also on Sport; and Everglades’ previously offered Desert Sand.
Less fortunate are six others, which are dropped in 2025:
- Cactus Gray
- Iconic Silver
- Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat
- Peak Blue
- Race Red
- Yellowstone
Mechanical Upgrades
Electric Brake Boost, which was previously for the 2.7L, is now standard on all series. Badlands gets a great option: HOSS 3.0 with FOX Internal Bypass Dampers, which is the same suspension system Wildtrak uses and Stroppe has.
Interior Changes
Ford has introduced some changes that will please buyers. Ambient footwell lighting is standard across all series, and the heated steering wheel moves out from under the High/Lux Package and is now standard on Outer Banks, Badlands, and Raptor. Meanwhile, the wireless charging pad more people seemed to dislike than like, has been removed from High/Lux. Speaking of High/Lux, the package name now returns to simply “Lux.”
Interior grab handles are now included in the Black Diamond Package on Big Bend, the Outer Banks Sasquatch, and standard on Badlands and Heritage.
The auxiliary switches are now included in the Black Diamond Big Bend Package and standard on Badlands and Heritage.
Four-doors with the 10-speed automatic transmission get rear HVAC. The 12" color digital instrument panel cluster is standard.
Finally, the hard top’s sound-deadening headliner is now optional for 4-door Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands. Be sure to have your dealer add it to your order; it’s a nice feature.
