10 Best Ford Bronco Sport Accessories

One of the best parts about owning a Ford Bronco is checking out all the accessories. Whether you’re looking to make a purchase now or just browsing, there are plenty of options.

As most of you know, Melissa is our community Bronco Sport pro. She owns them, races them, and guides drivers in them along trails all over the place (including Bronco Off-Roadeo). She regularly offers insight to fellow Sport owners here and at member events she attends.

One thing I notice in the forums quite often is people asking for recommendations on Bronco Sport parts or accessories for their ride.

I went right to the source and asked Melissa what some of the best (and her favorite) accessories are for the Bronco Sport. She has many ideas, but here are 10 that top her list:

1. FLOOR LINERS 

This is essential to protect your floor and provide an easy way to get rid of all the rocks, dirt, and sand you track into your Sport during your adventures. Depending on what you’re looking for, there are carpet floor liners and rubber floor liners. These are both 4-piece sets for the front and rear.

2. RECEIVER HITCH

If you don’t already have one, you can’t go wrong with a Ford Bronco Sport trailer hitch. It will provide a good rear recovery point but also allows for items like a bike carrier or lightweight trailer. The Class II hitch in is exclusively made for the Sport.

3. ARB RECOVERY BOARDS

I really like the ARB Recovery Boards. I don’t leave the pavement without my traction boards and actually put them up on top of my TrailRax Modular Roof Rack (you can free up essential space in your Sport and it’s pretty easy do it yourself install). it’s pretty easy do it yourself install).

4. ARB RECOVERY KIT

This is another must-have. Recovery gear is paramount when hitting the road, on or off the trails — and this durable ARB Weekender Recovery Kit has all the essentials to make sure you’re always prepared. Plus, its slim design makes it easy to store in your Sport.  

5. UNDERBODY ARMOR 

If you did not purchase a Badlands or First Edition trim (or the rarer Heritage Limited), you are without stock bash plates and regardless, your approach has quite of bit of exposed plastic that can quickly become damaged off-road. If you plan to off-road your Sport, you’ll want to invest in some underbody armor. (We don’t offer Sport bash plates in the gear shop at this time, but a good company to check out is JCR Off-Road.) 

6. LIFT KIT

Ground clearance is critical in your Sport, so having a lift or leveling kit can allow for larger tires as well. This complete and easy-to-install Ford Bronco Sport Lift Kit is a great option.

7. ALL–TERRAIN TIRES

If you have the street tires, upgrading to an all-terrain can be a game changer off-road. A small lift can allow for larger tires and those A/Ts will gain you more traction in all kinds of terrains from wet and icy pavement to sand dunes and rocks. Look for a higher ply side wall and don’t forget to air down when off-road.

8. ARB SINGLE COMPRESSOR

Airing back up again at the end of the trail requires a solid and reliable air compressor. Since the Sport tires are smaller, I use this ARB Portable Compressor. It packs in its own toolbox and works great!

9. FIRST AID KIT

These are another critical item, and I really like the options from MyMedic, including this MyFak kit, and I’ll tell you why: they’re modular. I’ve had some pretty expensive first aid kits in the past, but once items are used or expired, I don’t think about going out and finding replacement items. MyMedic has refill packs that are actually not that expensive and can be quickly ordered online.

10. BRONCO SPORT GEAR

Last but not least, actual Bronco Sport gear. Right now, there is just one official Sport tee in the gear shop (It’s a woman’s style), but hopefully there will be more offerings soon for us Sport fans. (In the meantime, you can always snag some Bronco brand swag.)
