Just received this email from Ashlie at Chapman Ford in regards to my order. Looks like to be considered for scheduling you have to drop the hardtop, Sasquatch package and LUX package if you have them in your build.

UPDATE: There are pretty big discussions going on over on B6G about this. Ashlie herself has made a few replies. And many others have confirmed this information.

No more 2023MY scheduling for hardtops, Sasquatch and LUX (reported by dealership)

Chapman Of Horsham with @dealerinsider

Hi…

Hope all is well! Unfortunately, Ford has made us aware that customers with orders that have hardtops/LUX pkg/Sasquatch pkg will need to modify their order to drop these items for scheduling consideration.

If these changes are made by January 21st, Ford claims they will be issuing a certificate/private offer to the customer.

According to the information we received, if the changes are not made and the order flips to the new model year, Ford’s price protection program will expire.

At this time, we do not have definitive information on the certificate amount or how it will affect Ford’s price protection certificates…

We appreciate your patience and understanding…please let us know how you would like to proceed

Interesting… wondering if this is how Ford is handling all of the orders at dealers that have “too many” orders (Granger, Chapman, etc).

My thought is this is their way of purging out a bunch of older hard to build orders. This could be the last straw for many. Then when the dust settles open up the order banks for orders that they can actually build.

Maybe a Ford, “Official “ can chime in on this thread and clarify whether or not this is accurate information.

Hmm.. As someone with a 2Dr non-Sasquatch Badlands with Mid package that can only have a hard top, I'm curious as to how this will go, since I'm in the 150's at Granger.

In all honesty, I may not convert to a 2024 if I end up making it that far without a build date.

If they are stopping production on the MIC this would mean some kind of catastrophic problem with them for Ford. There have been regular instances of top problems mentioned over on B6G but it did not seem excessive. There may be more issues than we know about.

My guess is they are finally pulling the pin on the MIC
The MIC is a rabid piece of shit. I have one. MANY MANY MANY complaints of the flanges that sit on the bed rails just simply ripping ... and Ferd has posted detailed info with the dealers that all but excluded the MIC from warranty issues. Shit like, don't use a power washer on it. On an offroad vehicle!!! Really?
They should be ashamed to have kept with it this far. It's basically paper/cardboard with bedliner on it.

As far as the Squatch constraints, no idea what their supply side issues are.
Several reports of diffs and transfer cases grenading, but nothing conclusive yet.
Day 1 res first 3 hours, Feb 6th order; May 25th? scheduled for build, July 15th Build date, Dirt Mountain 2.5 months, delivered into my loving hands Oct. 8th

I still think it may be because they would rather save all of those Sasquatch parts for the Heritage, Everglades and Wildtrak. They would look even more stupid than they already do offering yet another new trim (Heritage) and not have enough parts to make them. Everglades and Wildtrak are both high dollar trims. More return than a base or Big Bend Sasquatch.

So sad to hear... no squatch/Mic/Lux... why even get a Bronco if you can't get what you want. Doesn't make sense. Tough times for Ford. I have a built Bronco sitting at Ford, but can't seem to get it shipped... almost 2 months waiting for a ship date.

Granted I've only had mone 9 months but no problems here. Seems like far more soft top issues and someone could easily cut the soft top to get in. I'm glad I have mine because that's a deal breaker for me.

You can do better then SAS going aftermarket for less. Heck alot of the Raptor suspension and such you can get. You're probably spot on though.

All speculation at this time... but what about Raptor? Is it done for 2023?

Imagining, what a Soft Top Raptor, sitting on 34s, on some skinny steelies, and Hitachi shock package, running 4.26 gears....... is gonna look like with those fender flares....

So Ford only gives this one dealer private information? What about the other 1,999 dealers in the US?

I'd cancel my order before dropping any of those those items. Bronco isn't the only game in town you know.

Info from another source...

BRONCO6X - Facebook
All right, I was hoping to not have to make a post on this until next week but misinformation is spreading like wildfire on other groups and forums in relation to the remainder of the 2023 model year.

TO BE CLEAR:
Hardtop, WT, and Lux is NOT DONE SCHEDULING FOR 2023.

What IS happening:
These items remain in constraint like they have always been. Programs will be rolling out next week to incentivize you to switch off these items to get your Bronco faster. It is a good program. It will satisfy several people while some continue to wait.

Monday 1/17 program details will roll out. Please do not harass your dealers YET as we don't have the info or capability to do what is needed or give accurate answers until then. From there, think about if you are willing to drop to a lesser model and get your Bronco quicker.

Please don't message asking questions, we will do a full program release next week when it goes public. At this point details are not supposed to be released and we are not even supposed to be talking to customers about the specifics, but apparently some people took that to mean "go spread misinformation to every single customer".

These items will continue to schedule as normal if you choose to take the risk of dealing with commodities. So please do not believe what you are seeing in some other places about these no longer being produced or scheduled.

I don't really trust a message board's interpretation of an unsourced email, from a dealer telling us what they heard in a zoom call.

It makes sense that there are supply & production issues with popular features like hard top/SAS/Lux. So it makes sense that Ford would pressure reservation holders to make changes or be pushed back to MY 24. It makes sense that a dealer would hint at losing price protection to incentivize reservations holders to make changes. But seeing how Ford changed the price protection/private offer system this year, there is absolutely no reason Ford wouldn't extend private offer letter or just create a option "C" for orders that get rolled to 2024. All of this is bad news for the rumored February order bank opening for new orders.
