I've had more recalls from Ford in 5 years then in the 30 years I owned GM and Jeeps. This is getting old. Still haven't got my Sync 4 weather maps issue resolved in my Bronco. Was told by a help desk supervisor that I would get a call in 72 hours from one of their techs. That was 8 days ago.

I think you’re wrong!

Back then there wasn’t as many recalls, because everything wasn’t as sophisticated as it is today, plus safety is there number one priority, unlike what it was back then.

Jeep have had their share of problems too, they’ve also had a lot of recalls lately, some to do with fire risks.
One of them being a fuel leak, I know!!!
I would have to say, it’s not just Ford!!!

Over 190,000 hybrid Jeeps recalled due to dangerous battery fire risk—are you affected?

Chrysler is recalling nearly 4,000 2024-2025Jeep Wagoneer S battery electric (BEV) vehicles. The headlight vertical aim adjustment is not accessible, and the horizontal aim adjustment is not covered as intended.

Huge Jeep Recalls for 340,000 Wagoneer, Grand Cherokee, Compass

Recalls continue to plague the Jeep brand in 2023. Today, two recalls by the NHTSA for the Jeep Compass, Grand Cherokee, and Wagoneer SUVs involve over 340,000 vehicles. The largest is for the 2022 and 2023 Jeep Compass at 181,999 vehicles. And the recalls for the Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer involve 162,713 of the SUVs. The Grand Cherokee L models in this recall are 2021 to 2023, while the Grand Cherokee and Wagoneers are from the 2022 to 2024 model years.

According to the recall, body control modules for Jeep Compass SUVs may have incorrect programming. This can cause instrument panel backlighting not to be adjustable. Federal motor vehicle standards require two or more brightness levels to be available. The fix is updating the body control module software. Also, certain body control modules sold separately through Mopar Parts will also need the update.
********************************
If you pretty much look up any manufacture, you’ll find multiple recalls across the board……
It’s not Just Ford!
It may not be all the car companies but it’s a lot.
I own a RAM 3500, and I’ve had several recalls.
I like the fact their keeping up with the safety issues of everyone driving a vehicle through recalls.
Since you own a Ford, it just seems like Ford has all the recalls……..but they don’t…….

Fair enough!
You did however say you had Jeep and GM vehicles, but you are correct, “I do not know what vehicles you owned.”
My main point though is, most to all car companies have had their share of recalls, it’s not just Ford!!!

I have spent 4-5 hours on the phone with FORD. They told me I have to go to the dealer. Spoke to 3 dealers. They don't have software or tools to diagnose my issue. Each dealer had replaced 3-4 units, all under warranty. Those folks got lucky it failed quicker then mine. As I mentioned above I was told by a supervisor I would get a return call in 72 hours. No one called or emailed.

Hey Ford. Send me a private message with the name and number of a manger for the team that develops and supports the Sync 4 system, a technical person, and setup a time with them that we can get on a call. I don't have time to sit on the phone for another hour or so and go down the same path I already have. As I'm out of warranty the dealers told me this is about a $1000 fix, so I can see a weather screen. With all due respect, I'm tired of living the movie Ground Hog Day.

I think you are addressing someone else's comments. But yup, all car companies issue recalls. Every car I've owned from Ford, BMW, GM, Acura, all had at least one recall. I did own a Jeep XJ, and I do not remember it having a recall, but it had as much technology as a 1973 Sears Craftsman lawnmower with a Tecumseh engine (which such tech level you want going out into the woods).

This Bronco recall seems like Ford got a big batch of bad fuel pumps from its supplier. Bosch(?).

What really cracks me up is when someone says, “I’ll never buy a GM, Ford, Chrysler again, I had nothing but problems with that car.”
I believe it has always been “A luck of the draw,” if you end up getting that bad seed in the bunch.
I know of people who have bought the exact same vehicle and one had nothing but problems and the other never had one complaint about that vehicle.
I don’t have any family members who work for the Big Three, and therefore I don’t get that much of a discount, so I pretty much just get whatever vehicle is the best price.
This is only my second Ford I have ever bought, the first was a Ford Aerostar van, and the rest have been mixed, even a couple foreign vehicles.
I would honestly say that not one of those vehicles I have owned, didn’t have their share of problems.

Good Lord, I've owned 4 Pintos, all bought used and driven between 1978 and 1989. Great cars, all of them. Tough as nails and never really broke (without some abusive help :)). I'm originally a Ford guy, my dad was, and a lot of my family owned and still own Fords; probably some 35 cars over the years. I can count nine (9) in my immediate family right now. My last Ford before the Bronco was a 1999 F150. Recalls are recalls. Some of the Bronco ones have been stupid IMO, like the seatbelt on the 4-door, and the backup camera doesn't go off in 4-wheel low - LOL.

My Bronco salesman has a '21 Basesquatch that was delivered in December 2021, which lost the fuel pump early on in the summer of 2022. Mine is a January - March build, so I guess I'll be getting a recall notice soon. I've been following the fuel pump issue since then along with the several reports of owner's here losing the pump on the trail. High volume production parts sometimes just don't get assembled correctly. Ask us old timers about cam-driven mechanical diaphragm fuel pumps on carbureted engines.

From what I understand, if it hasn’t shown up on your Ford pass as being a recall, then you should be good!!!
As far as fuel pumps, I’ve read the same thing, but this individual says it happened on models after the recall date! 😳
So who knows, maybe there could be more recalls!!!

So many recalls…Seems it’s going to be forever and six days before any of them are resolved.

Literally struggling to keep up with all of them.

Ugh! 🙄

I guess I’ve been pretty fortunate so far, I’ve only had two recalls.
One was for a wiper issue, that was easily resolved with a flash of the system.
I never saw the problem at all about the wiper slowing down if the window starts to dry up a little.
The other was the problem that almost all of us have, and that’s the replacement of the rear shocks do to rusting and possibly leaking with the potential of failure of the shock.
However the shock problem is no longer an issue for me, since I added a 3” coil over lift.
Ended up just getting rid of the OEM shocks and UCA……
