This could be the beginning of the Bronco becoming a brand instead of just a model.


Ford Motor Company has filed to trademark Bronco with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Ford Authority has learned.

Filed on June 30th, 2022, and assigned serial number 97484058, the application contains the goods and services description of “automobile customization services and car repair and maintenance.”

I thought Bronco was planned to be a stand alone brand all along so this makes sense.

Another car line Farley can wreck.
Bronco is a model, turning the name into a brand means they will dilute the name, before long what was synonymous with offroading and outdoor activites, will be just another badge thrown on what ever.
Instead of ruining the Bronco image by badging a mediocre s box with the Bronco name, why not use names that no one would care or its not possible to harm the image associated with the name.
Could start with Granada.... or Fairmont...

Pretty soon Ford will have a Bronco name on more types of vehicles to boost sales #'s, To bad there is a Bronco Sport with the name Bronco, although I understand their marketing idea.
