Delivery Update from Ford

I could not find this updated information posted anywhere in the Forum, so mods can remove if it's already been posted.

From the ford.com/bronco website:

"In early 2021, your Ford Dealer will be able to provide an approximate date for the delivery of your Bronco. Initial Bronco 2 and 4-door deliveries are targeted to begin in June 2021.
Due to the high number of Bronco 2 and 4-door reservations, deliveries may extend into the 2022 calendar year."

I guess that'll give me more time to save for a down payment. I hope I don't have to wait until 2022 though.

I heard a rumor of 180K reservations. Even if 1/2 of them bail, no way they make 90k production in the first year unless they build at multiple plants

They are only coming out of one plant and they will easily push over 90k vehicles out of it. They build mustangs at one plant for example and put out quite a few of those with all the various models. A modern automotive plant doesn’t spit out a car once every half hour. Their build rate is much faster then that.

If they can build a larger vehicle, an F-150, every 52 seconds, they can build a Bronco rather quickly too I think.

Just a reminder that they are also building the Ranger at the same plant. Of course they won't build as many Rangers as Broncos, but it will still take up time.

I was referring to an understanding that I have that they won't get a full year of production in. And I'm totally aware of build rates as my brother was president of manufacturing for VW plant in Chattanooga. Retired a couple of years ago.

They should build the Lightening Blue 2 door 7spd Big Bends first.

Ordering is supposed to be in December. You will be able to make all your changes then as it doesn't matter what trim you reserved. Of course you can't change to the FE.

If you are talking about the seats with the nice leather uppers, then they are not available. I'm still confused why they even shown them but I guess there is a chance they could be bought through the accessory avenue.

I agree. Love the look of those seats. I would think there is a way to get them otherwise why would they show them?

Just got an email from Ford about the reservation status and next steps!!!! WOOHOO!!

BN 0232 Bronco "Skwach" - 4 Dr FE, Lightning Blue, MIC/NP
New acquisition - Ranger Lariat Tremor, Rapid Red "Quake" (Skwach's little brother)
Other fun stuff: Honda Pioneer 1000 dirt toy (Need hitch!)

Thank you again for your interest in the all‑new 2021 Ford Bronco and for reserving one of your very own.* We’re humbled by the tremendous demand we’ve received and are excited to get you your Bronco as soon as we can. We know everyone is eager to hear more details about their reservation, so below is an update on next steps.

First, the Bronco Build & Price configurator on For‌d‌.‌com will open in mid‑October, so you will soon be able to configure your dream Bronco. We encourage you to explore the various series, options and colors to get your build just right. This will be an important tool as you prepare for placing your formal order.

Then, December through January, your selected dealer will be reaching out to schedule an order consultation when you will place your order for production and finalize your purchase price. Be sure to save your configuration from For‌d‌.‌com to share with your dealer. Expect your dealer to request a deposit to confirm your commitment, which will enable us to accurately schedule production. No worries if you’re not the first to place an order, as your reservation time stamp will stay with your order.

In late 1st quarter, we will be communicating an estimated delivery window based on final ordering and production of similarly configured Broncos. Throughout the process, we will keep you updated on the status of your order by sending emails when your vehicle is ordered, scheduled for production, built and shipped. Additionally, there will be regular newsletters to share news and updates on all things Bronco.
