Has anyone with a hard top ran their Bronco through a regular car wash? If so any issues with roof scratches, leaks, etc. ?

No issues with MIC but can't rule out the carwash as the cause of some of the paint chips I have.

Car washes are not good things. They wipe the dirt off one car then slap yours with it. Have gotten nasty scratches from them, and I'd be afraid to take a Bronco through one unless it's 'touchless'. The touchless ones aren't great -- they generally try to just blast the dirt off with soapy water -- but at least they're not rubbing it all over your paint. I have to say, until longevity is proven, I don't have THAT much faith in the MIC tops. :p

No drive through car washes but have had mine hand washed several times (DIY…) and have been in some hard rains lately with no issues at all. Even left it out in some torrential rains to let the easy mud wash off.

A regular car was will scratch the hell Out of your paint and hard top. Opt for a contactless wash or a professional detail

Guess I have been super lucky then. 30+ washes in 9 months & no major scratches or issues with MIC.

I have also been in 2 hail storms & a tornado in my ride, so other than some paint chips the vehicle has held up just fine.

Hand wash. It’s more intimate.

There's a really good car wash in my little town, and before anyone enters the wash, they spray everything off with four guys and four sprayers. So when you enter the wash all dirt and debris has already been removed. And they have a soft wash with special scrubbers that won't scratch anything. That's the only wash we take our cars to. I've been going to it for years and never had an issue with scratches, etc. Great place, and the fellas that work there are extremely professional.

I will also do a touchless, but at that point I may as well just hit it with the hand spray style wash. One of those in my town too, and while I can't get my car show quality with it, it does a good job for $2.50. Just gotta hit the road and drive 80mph for a sec to get the spots dried off tho!

Forgot to say, our hard top goes thru fine, not a drop anywhere inside..

The soft top can’t go through a car wash, correct?

Taken ours (Outerbanks soft top) through a touchless wash numerous times. Wife has a monthly subscription and we run all of our vehicles through this wash. No leaks or issues. Of course, it helps if the vehicle is relatively clean. Road grime will need a hand wash. I do that every so often at home. Foam cannon and a good quality micro fiber mit with a bucket containing a dirt screen in the bottom.
