We're only a few weeks away from making another mark in Bronco history during the largest Ford show in the world –– the Carlisle Ford Nationals –– in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on June 4-6!

Carlisle Events has teamed up with Bronco enthusiast and expert Drew Peroni to bring yet another Bronco-related special feature to the event. Carlisle Ford Nationals 2021 will be featuring a first of its kind Stroppe Reunion. It's been 50 years since the 1971 introduction of the Baja Bronco by Stroppe, as well as Parnelli Jones and Bill Stroppe winning the Baja 1000 in the legendary Big Oly.

With Stroppe owners and enthusiasts coming from all across the country, this is going to be the largest gathering of these highly prized vehicles since 1975, when Stroppe shipped the last production run of the Bajas.

In addition to some of the finest survivor and restored Baja Broncos in existence, expect some other rarely seen Stroppe-related race cars and special project vehicles, for a total of two dozen Stroppe feature vehicles. One of these will be the debut of the recently restored 1965 Stroppe C Series cabover transporter with the BF Goodrich pit support trailer.

A few of the other rarely shown vehicles that will be part of this unique feature event include the 1969 Holman Moody Stroppe "Hunter" Bronco, Stroppe catalog display chassis, and the 1963 Stroppe-built Mercury Marauder that Parnelli Jones drove to victory at Pikes Peak in 1963 and '64. PJ also placed second in '65 and raced this same car in NASCAR.

While Drew was able to secure Big Oly in 2016 for the Bronco 50th Anniversary feature, this year, it may not be possible due to the unexpected but now highly publicized and anticipated auction of Big Oly being held at Mecum Indy, just a week before the Ford Nationals. However, there will be at least a few collectors attending the show who have all said if they manage to place the winning bid that they will have the vehicle at the show once again. So, there is still a chance!

Willie Stroppe will be attending to discuss the history and his time working with his dad at Bill Stroppe and Son. He will be available during meet and greet sessions on Friday and Saturday to sign autographs.

Other special guests include Baja racer, Bronco historian, and author Todd Zuercher and his race partner and Baja Bronco guru from Baja Broncos Unlimited, Andrew Norton. Both Todd and Andrew will also be available during the meet and greet sessions, and Todd will have copies of his extremely informative Bronco history book available for sale and personalized signing. If you are unable to attend, you can also get a signed copy directly from Todd at www.broncohistorybooks.com.

This year's show field layout will have the Stroppe reunion feature tent, show field participants' Broncos, and the new 2021 Broncos and Bronco Nation all grouped together in "Bronco Central," right near the additional Ford Motor Company displays on the Manufacturers Midway.

The Carlisle Ford Nationals is the largest Ford show in the world with over 3,200 cars on the show field and thousands of vendor spaces in the swap meet area. The event is spread over 100 acres and 16 miles of paved roads, so be sure to bring some comfortable shoes!

Online pre-registration has ended, but you can register your Bronco or other FoMoCo branded car onsite during the show. For more information, go to www.carlisleevents.com.
