Hey, I'm new to all of this. I ordered my Bronco in 2019 and finally took ownership in July of this year. As you all can imagine I was so happy. Did the Off Rodeo and was super excited to finally get mine. Today here in CA it's pretty chilly, was 48 degrees out but still not freezing. As I drove the Wildtrak Bronco down the street II watched my windshield start cracking. I'm an insurance agent and certainly know when a rock hits a window. Nothing hit the window and the crack originated in the glass under the hood. You can tell there are no marks from a rock and it looks like it started where the windshield wipers attach to the car. I saw online that the 2022 Broncos are all on recall because the windshield can fall out, but my vin is not on the recall. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this?

Hey there! I would like to look into your Bronco windshield concern on my end. Can you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer?

Hi, jmmorris. My wife's windshield just did exactly what you're describing. No rock strike, and originated down at the bottom. Very cold here in northern Idaho, and 99% of all trips are local side streets @ 25-30 mph. Did you get a resolution from Ford? She has a 4-Door Sasquatch Badlands (took delivery 01-08-2022).

Hi, Ford took my info down but never followed up with me. I am watching mine very closely and if it happens again I will keep on this. I know that a rock did not hit it. It was very cold the am it broke, like 30 degrees here. So, I would contact Ford too. If enough people report it they will have to look at it.

I wonder if the windshield was installed in not quite the right place, so it was touching the windshield wiper arm or something, so as the temp changed rapidly with the defroster, maybe it caused it to press against it and start the crack?
