So I got in my Bronco and the parking brake was on and it wouldn't release while the transmission was in park. Took it to the local dealer and they said that it was an update from Ford that couldn't be undone. There are many of the so-called safety features that I believe are a waste for someone that actually knows how to operate an automobile, but I put up with them because there is no option to buy without them. I find it extremely unsettling that Ford would make an over the air update without informing me of the new limitations to the functionality of the vehicle that I pay for. Has anyone figured out to turn off the auto parking brake?
