I think I need a sanity check. Last evening while parked, the vehicle off I began hearing a series of unusual noises coming from my new bronco. I would like to speak to someone from ford about this.

They like to click and cycle stuff quite a bit. Ive not heard of it being a problem, but it is a bit disconcerting.

I don't really want to be Captain Obvious here, but you could try calling Ford as opposed to posting on a message board. Might get quicker results.

A series of clicking and whirring is normal. There are lots of solenoids and flaps that cycle periodically. Now if by unusual you mean you hear things like "Get OUT" or the "Cha cha cha" sound then yes, talk to Ford about an exorcism being covered under warranty.

I'm waiting for Ford to call me back. I'm just getting more information. It's disconcerting to hear what sounds like metal dropping from under the hood.

I hope you get an explanation for what you're hearing, @mstephens55. By calling Ford, are you saying your dealer? You'll probably get directed there if you called customer service.

This right here is what your post should've been up top. Then we could've responded more intelligently with something like, "Sounds like you have a few screws loose" or "Ford Quality is Job 1, spare parts get tossed in the engine bay". Something anyways.

This post right here just says you would like to speak to someone from Ford. That pretty much eliminates the rest of us from responding.

What I'm trying to say is, help us to help you.

My Bronco clicks and makes whirring noises whenever I’m in close proximity. I think it’s detecting my key fob and the Bronco is saying, “C’mon, let’s go for a ride! 🤓

When your car was built there came a time when “the modules” populated and in BN speak it “came alive”…

Me thinks they are always cycling and making some noises…. It’s a pretty complex rig, and as @BuckYeah mentioned, whenever I’m close with my key fob mine starts talking to me…

Most likely the software is updating, and the noise you are observing is validation of function. If you have the FordPass, it will tell you when an update occurred.

Our Bronco's speak the same language! Every night, I have to tell Darryl, no, it's my bed time now. I have to get up and go to work in the morning so I can afford to make my payments on you. 😪

I’ve grown accustomed to hearing the clicks and whirrs. They don’t bother me. If anything, I think it’s cool. It’s funny when you’re wiping down the sides with quick detailer solution and get near the door handles and it starts clicking like mad, as if it’s a horse chomping at the bit. LOL

Yeah and when I am washing it and the water hits the front of tailgate handle it unlocks and lights get going.

but as far ad crazy noises sometimes when we go for a ride when I shut him down, as I am walking away I hear a sizzling sound, I think it is AC condensation dripping on the exhaust. it doesn't do it every time just when it is parked with the passenger side a little higher than the driver.

They talk to us alot. I'm super OCD about locking my vehicles. I often lock and alarm mine then play around in the shop. When I lock it again as I'm leaving the shop she speaks to me similar to what you're describing.

Think you’ve got OCD, @OrangecrushBronco? I’ll sometimes click the lock button on the key fob twice just to hear the horn honk so I know it’s locked. They should make it whinny when you do that. 🤪
