Started hearing a strange noise. Sounds like it is coming from the right side of the engine? Can hear it in the cabin when accelerating up a hill. Had it to the Ford dealer twice and they said it is normal??? Did not hear it until I reached about 50,000 miles. This engine is in the time frame of the faulty lifters I believe. Anyone have a clue? @Ford Motor Company

Dropping a valve would be an 'All-Stop' event, so doesn't seem to be 2.7's early valve issue. What's the sound .. metalic ticking or hard knocking may be cam phasers, constant whine or scream could be turbo, does it increase with RPMs??

Sounds like a metalic ticking.

Dealer guys mentioned they had recently seen couple 2.7s with clicking/ticking sounds after start-up while running at normal op temp. These required repair, but these guys didn't know exactly what the problem/repair was about. Suggest another dealership's opinion.

Cheers

Hi there! I can look into your Bronco's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?
