Anyone else experience this issue? There is a recall for some models, but mine was not one of them.
Just started grinding and the wheel felt like it was going to lock up.
2022 with 30k on it.
I don’t know why that picture keeps posting upside down!!

Crop the image 1st, even if it's just a spec then upload and it won't flip.

Man I hope they get that figured out. Maybe time for a 74 weld upgrade??? Depends on what they are going to charge you might be a better option. Maybe @Unicorn has some input in this matter.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

I wonder if you can get them to replace it with the Ford Performance Rack? https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-3200-WT

Was wondering the same thing! If these racks are an issue, then let's eliminate the issue! I heard they were putting the HD racks in the ones that were part of the recall.

If I was you, I would definitely look into it hard. Even if they charge you a little, I think that the upgrade might be worth it, depending on how much, of course.

I know that @SlashRacer just replaced his. Not because of failure but as part of a comprehensive upgrade.

Oh No - Sorry to see your rig on that car carrier!! Was there any rough roads or weird steering glitches? Hope your dealership gets you back riding again soon..

Historically the answer is NO. I tried to get a change and told them I would pay the difference in price for the item. It was a rear axle for my Jeep. The story I got was if the dealer upgrades the vehicle they are now responsible for any warranty charges, etc. The vehicle has been modified and is no longer covered by warranty. Had same conversation with the Ford dealer.

That's interesting, since it's a Ford part we are talking about replacing it with.

Yeah, I had a similar conversation with Ford dealer about heavier springs for our Bronco. It's a moot point in our case because Ford doesn't offer heavier springs for Bronco, but those guys were only about maintaining vehicles at original specs.
