Seat belt recall. Not thought out properly

Seat belt recall issue:

"The customer may experience some dissatisfaction or be discouraged if they are unable to easily access the seat belt latch in its stowed position. Driving without the use of a seatbelt increases the risk of injury in a crash."

For those of use who have ordered Code Orange seat belts I would suggest that we should get our vehicles. Please see rationale below.

Rationale: since the belts are bright orange it seems we would be more likely to put them on over the darker more hindersome colors.

Seeing we are already more likely to put on the seat belts any issue with dissatisfaction or discouragement would be nullified.

(My absurdity actually sounds well though out by today's standards)

Yep...I received my letter yesterday, the one that simply announces there is a recall. It states I will receive another letter when my dealer is ready to schedule me. That said, I don't think I will do anything about this. It's not a safety issue. I have no issue putting a seat belt on.

I think there are many out there who are thinking creative ways to dispose of their clips once they get there trucks.

I may have to find a Ford lawyer to dispose of my clip properly once I get my truck.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know if we can order Code Orange seatbelts from @Ford Motor Company post title? I would gladly add the clip to get one. If my belt were orange I'd wear it even if I were parked in my shop, just saying.

Not that I disagree with anything said here, as my ordered and long delayed Bronco* is caught up in this and sitting on the dealer lot, but Ford can release the vehicles currently due to the NTSB. As much as I want to throw Ford under the bus here, the government is holding them hostage over this silly clip.

By the last part of this statement is this supposed to read "Cant' release the vehicles" ? Just asking some deuche nozzles trolling this site will jump on a mistakenly typed or not typed word unrelentingly

Yeah--my understanding is Ford cannot release the vehicles under law per the NTSB.

Oh, news to me. Thanks, I will (with independent verification because experience dictates not to trust much they tell me)

I get it. All I know is what others have said and my Ford dashboard says NO RECALLS and yesterday (or the day before) it said RECALL, NO fix yet.

My dealer will get back to me later today when he is back in the office. It sounds real good.

If what I am hoping is correct, I will buy drinks for the night. I am not worried, most of you will be in bed by 11 pm. , instead of being in the shower at 11 p,m getting ready to go out.

So there are really three separate, but connected things going on withe the seatbelts. A stop ship, a stop sell, and a recall. They have to take care of the first two immediately and the recall will be when ever they can. I’m surprised everyone who has one hasn’t been told they shouldn’t drive it until it is fixed. Just like the Takata airbags. We just got a recall notice on my wife’s hybrid Escape. Apparently if it makes some crazy clunking noise it could catch on fire. So if it starts to make noises or drives unusual, stop driving and park it. Just not in your garage. This is the second recall for this issue in the last year. Can’t make this crap up.
