Replacement Side Mirror Glass and Missing BLIS Connector

  1. I have and LOVE a 2021 Bronco. I'm attempting to replace the drive side mirror and can't locate a replacement 2-cavity connector as the original one was ripped off. My local Ford dealer couldn't locate one and suggested I buy a completely new mirror assembly for almost $1K!!
I'm just looking for that male connector used to plug into the blind spot sensor mounted on back of the mirror glass. I can't believe I'm the only person that has a broken mirror to replace and missing that connector.
Has anyone ran into this and possibly found a replacement connector or can steer me in the right direction??

Thanks, Brian
Laura

Looking at Ford's internal parts catalog. Seems as though that connector isn't sold separately—only available as the whole assembly.

So... junkyard is your best bet.

Thanks for your time RagnarKon, I’ve spent a bunch of time looking through connector catalogs and it’s daunting.
It’s becoming more apparent I’ll need to wait for a Bronco sacrifice as I’m not yet finding any in junkyards around me.
Good advice and thanks again for your help!

Is that broken connector on the door, or the mirror side? If the mirror side, you may have aftermarket options.

On one of the forums (here or Bronco6G) somebody was posting pretty exotic mirror upgrades: the forward edge of the mirror had a sort of ditch light array, giving you a wider (to the side) illumination. They were kind of pricey, so I didn't read through the thread, and don't know if they work off the headlight circuit or an auxiliary switch. Also, I don't know if they would integrate the blind-spot alert system.
My point is, there is at least this after-market mirror that has an interesting feature--but at a pretty penny. So if you're facing a $1,000 repair, you might consider a $2,000 (or so) upgrade.
Perhaps somebody remembers the name of that after-market mirror and can provide a link?
Last thought: a few people have posted images of their (tragically) crashed Broncos. 😔 Message them and see if you can obtain their mirror as salvage.
Good luck--we're all pulling for you!

Edit: Found it! Maybe this is your solution:

And a lot cheaper than I had (mis)remembered! And who knows--maybe you can sell your other mirror and come out even.

Just watched the video these are just mirror cap replacements You will not get the connector you are looking for from this. But Oracle might be able to steer you to the correct connector you will need, Just a thought. This is, however, a good Option for those of us that cannot mount ditch lights on our rigs.

Makes sense. At this price, it was too good to be true. And yeah, maybe Oracle (or some other) customer service tech have thoughts and who knows? Maybe their own supply connectors.

Great thinking BostonBadlands. Yea unfortunately the lights are replacement covers.
However because of your suggestion I have reached out to Oracle and they are checking into it for me. I'll post their response.
Thanks for your time and suggestion.

One of the reasons I decided to ditch an otherwise serviceable 2009 Toyota Sienna XLE Ltd was the pricey mirror replacements I had to face: about $1800, the pair. And after that--the door latch/locks were failing. And then...what? So I bit the bullet and paid a big dealer markup for my Badlands Squatch.
The main thing, though, was: this old boy just wanted to have fun!
