On August 27, I took my Bronco in for service because the check engine light came on while I was driving on August 25. I noticed an idling issue and heard a faint engine knock. The vehicle is a 2024 Badlands 2.7 with 8278 miles at that time. The Ford Pass app showed it was an emissions (O2) sensor issue. After two days of diagnosing, they said there was a P2096 system lean. Later, they stated that "the concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector." I picked up my vehicle on August 29, but I still noticed irregular idling and called to report this. I was told it would go away after a few days. That didn't last long- on September 4, my wife was driving, and she said the car turned off on her. She restarted it and drove it home. The next day, I drove it and felt the engine shake at the stop light, and the check engine light turned back on. Today, the vehicle is back at the dealer with the same symptoms. However, my dealer says that since it is not a driveability concern, I cannot get a loaner vehicle. Last time my car was in, I paid for two days of rental out of pocket, and I am doing the same again today. Has anyone experienced similar issues? The vehicle currently has 9K miles.
