Received a call from my dealer a few days ago to schedule their mobile service to repair the rear-view camera for the recall. The tech just left. He needed to remove the rear tire, and the rear tire housing that attaches to the rear door. Also, the panel that is on the inside of the door. This panel gives him access to the camera wiring connector. I had two radio antennas, a set of lights and a Wolfbox rear camera installed on the rear tire/rear tire housing. The tech removed all the aftermarket stuff along with tire and housing. Replaced the Ford camera, reinstalled everything and even checked to ensure that the Wolfbox and light-set were working. Tech told me that I was the second of five replacements he had scheduled for today. He mentioned that they are allotted one hour for the replacement. He was finished with mine in less than one hour. Maybe this will be helpful. It was not a complicated install.

Hi there. I’d like to assist with your concern. Could you please send us a DM with your VIN and mileage so I can look into this further?

I got notification from dealership that they finally had both recall parts available for mine so scheduled appointment yesterday to drop off Monday afternoon. No idea how long they will keep it for the rear view camera and rear shock abs replacement, if any. 🙏 Thanks for the share @Tony#BPP

Not that any body cares, I was able to get my weather app working again, w/o a BOT or the help desk. Didn't replace anything, like a $1200 modem they told me to do. The magic was I logged into my app, then logged out of my app. Looked at the screen on the truck...bingo bango it worked. That was about the 20th time I did that...and we all know the 20th time is a charm. :0)

I think the BOT should take note of that!!

Zeros and ones… sometimes adolescent zeros and ones who think its fun to tease us…

Glad you figured it out… Strange we still have to resort to basically unplugging and plugging the computer back in…

Well done!

So I’m sitting here waiting on the bronco while they complete the rear camera recall work item. While it’s in the shop, they’re replacing the rear window seal that leaks, only when it rains, and drips water down the inside of the back window into the rear window wiper motor compartment. Here’s the irony of my situation. In 3 years I’ve never had a problem with my rear camera but decided to go ahead and get the recall work completed. I made the appointment last week and just yesterday my camera went out for the first time. Just seems like a strange coincidence to me. Interestingly, when the camera started working again late yesterday afternoon, it had the image from earlier in the morning when the camera was black. Really strange, oh well, so here I sit…..hope to be back in the road soon.

I need to get the camera recall done. Mine has been hit or miss when it wants to work or not. Seems more often not the last few weeks. Maybe I will get it done I just don’t want them to get my Bronco then order the part then do the work. I don’t want to wait several days for the camera replacement. I want them to have the replacement part on hand.

In my 2023 mine has been replaced, but I admittedly never had the original act up… easy fix but had to do at dealer as our mobile tech can’t handle Sasquatch tires/wheels

Thanks for your note, I had forgotten 'bout this rear camera recall. Our '23's rear views are fine/no problems but guess should get this done just to avoid an open recall on our VIN.

My original idea was to wait till there was something else our Bronco needed at the dealership and have this done then. I've done the routine oil changes, etc myself and haven't needed dealership help for couple years.

Oh well, it's time call the dealer and if parts are in stock we'll get this done..

Cheers

I scheduled an appt with the service dept last week. They said they’d have to order the camera so we schedule it for this week so they would have the camera ready. Stopped by today and got ur done
