For reference this is a 2024 Badlands Sasquatch 2.7L Auto w/ 37" Nitto Recon Grapplers
Last Thursday I was pulling my 6x10 utility trailer. With about 500lbs of cargo. All in all I'm guessing around 1000-1200 total weight.
20 miles empty and 20 miles back loaded. The vibrations started on the way back. Very noticeable around 65-70mph. It was very apparent and felt pretty rough but I figured it was the trailer since this was the first time I'd felt anything like this in the Bronco. Maybe a bad spot on a tire. However, even now without it I can still feel a slight vibration about 65-70. Not enough to cause alarm, but enough to cause concern. I feel it everywhere. Seat, steering, etc... not just steering (so probably not a unbalanced front tire). Nothing underneath seems to be lose or out of place.
Fast forward to friday. I was crossing a hwy and turned onto a side road, upon accelerating (what I would consider a normal amount of acceleration, not babying it but not romping on it) it just went limp. No response from the throttle, engine lugged like it was in way too high of a gear, then suddenly clunks, drops back into a lower gear and away we go.
This morning. The opposite affect occurred. I accelerated (Again, normal amount) and she hung in 2nd or 3rd gear. Engine rev'd up, felt kinda like what a slipping clutch feels like. Then, drops into the next gear and away we go.
The down side, supposed to leave Thursday morning for Bronco Off-rodeo and Stampede in P.F., Tn.
I can't go to a bronco party without my bronco. 😔 But also don't want to get several hours away from home and end up with serious transmission issues. I Guess worst case I can take it to the shop and see if they'll give me a loaner bronco to drive. lol
