Sharing. 2023 Badlands, 2.7. Check engine light came on while driving through town. Pulled into local parts store and got the scan code. P0113, what? It only got 21k on it. Opened the hood and some creature is making a new home. Material is from a discarded dog toy and was ripped up. I didnt find any wire broke yet. I'm guessing the extra insulation caused a high temp condition locally around sensor. I'll reset the code and see if it stays gone.

Depending where you live you can't touch that. Squatters rights you know.

Update, check engine came back on. I checked the engine compartment again and found a wire chewed up. I repaired the wire, and I'm back to normal.

Ratatouille must’ve mistaken your wiring harness for licorice! đŸ˜³
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

I also live in woods, but I have a fox den in backyard along with 3-4 Feral cats that I leave "treats" for in the driveway, helps keep the rodents away

Unfortunately you are going to see that more since Ford went to a environmentally friendly wire coating. I think it's soy based coating.
