Picked up my Badlands with Sasquatch on 1/4/21. On 1/20/21, we discovered the rear locker was not working. Dealership says it's a bad solenoid. They created an emergency order. 1st, 2nd, 3rd pieces arrived damaged from Ford. around 6 months later, they found one from another dealer and installed it, but it still doesn't work. 5th piece arrived about 2 weeks ago from @Ford Motor Company, you guessed it, it arrived to the dealership damaged. So I've been paying for a Bronco with less ability and feature that I bought. When will it ever end!!!!!!

Ugh the rear locker is the more important one too. I guess you have a case to file for the Lemon law but you would have to sell the Bronco back and getting another one might be next to impossible.
I hope they get this figured out soon for you and you get to keep the Bronco.

I remember you saying that you didn't have a rear locker when we were at the Badlands. I figured you would have had it fixed by now. 😕
How in the world can they damage a new solenoid?

Don't know, but I'd be willing to drive to Detroit to pick it up if that's what it takes to get one.

Yeah, I considered contacting a lawyer, but not sure they'd have one for me to replace it with. Especially with all the money I've used to accessorize it so far. I've kept quiet so far because I know supply chain issues have been horrible, but this has taken way too long even when considering that.

Honestly you may want to try a different dealer.

I can understand getting one or two bad parts. But FIVE bad solenoids in a row seems unlikely, and it makes me believe they are not understanding the actual root cause of the issue. Obviously just speculation on my part, but... that just strikes me as really strange to have five bad parts in a row.

Not sure way this would not qualify as A Buy back. (lemon law ) . You are putting up with some real B.S . On this one.

Most of the dealers I've talked to have said I need to take it to the one I bought it from.

I mean, that's not accurate at all. You can take it to any Ford dealer.

But I could see a dealer saying that if their schedule is packed. They don't want to necessarily have their techs spend a ton of time on a vehicle your original dealer couldn't solve. Especially since it is warranty work, and Ford doesn't necessarily compensate techs well when it comes to warranty work.

You definitely get the 🏆 for having the most patience... I can't say I would be so calm. But I'd definitely try another dealer. If it's a certified Ford dealer. They can work on it. While normally staying at your original dealer is the best, fastest option... that ship has sailed... Time to find another dealer and let their mechanics have a shot at it.

"The squeaky wheel, normally gets the grease" ... its time to stand up and be heard.

If they've sent that many replacement parts, you're being heard, they're just not responding appropriately. I'm no expert, but I know in some states it's well-past any amount of time/repair opportunity you need to give them, and lemon-law would apply. You're right though, it just puts you back in the queue, and who knows if you'd get the vehicle you want.

I'd suggest that you talk with the Service Manager at your dealer and insist that they get a Ford engineer onsite to evaluate the problem. I had an ongoing issue a while ago with my Badlands and the dealer got an engineer onsite. They (the engineer) apparently have the ability to get the parts they need off the assembly line and shipped priority. In my case, the elusive part (Computer module) was available and installed within 2 days.

Dang, sucks you are still dealing with this. But kudos to you for still going out and having fun. Do you have a part number? Did you try ordering yourself? Many Ford parts ship from Indiana... Road trip?

Oh, I've had 2 tickets placed through @Ford Motor Company directly. I've reached out to them and Mr Levine through IG and Twitter.

I looked it up and it's $1,200. I shouldn't have to pay for it if it's a factory defect. This happened prior to any modifications and less than a month after I drove off the lot. I discovered it the first time I tried to use it, so I think it's been that way from the factory.

I'll try, but the service manager is well aware of the issue.
