Took top off my 2022 two door Badlands. First time I looked at top in a while. Car has been outside under a car cover. White discoloration which I can’t get off, looks like it is impregnated into the material. To me it looks like a water stain shape might be. Not diffuse like sun, and hasn’t been out in sun. I saw a picture of someone with a small similar spot- but nothing like mine. Anyone with a similar problem, thoughts?

Wow that's nuts.

Wondering if there some sort of coloring or chemical in the car cover that leached out and into the hard top or something.

I haven't seen a stain like that before, so I don't have advice on a solution unfortunately. Have you made an appointment with your dealer yet to see about a replacement?

Thanks Rag and Laura. I have examined the cover, which is pretty standard cloth and it shows no discoloration- so I think that is a good thought but I dont think the culprit. I will make an appointment with the dealer but I have a hunch they will shrug their shoulders. Lets see. I bought an extended warranty.

Have you spoken to your dealer yet? Let us know what their response was/is. Good luck.

Are you out of the 36/36 bumper to bumper warranty ? The extended warranty does not cover the removeable top .

I heard back from Ford after an appeal and they indicate the stain is not warrantable. They thought maybe it was kept out in the sun after getting wet. That doesnt make any sense, because there would be every owner lined up with the same problem. Anyway, the good news is that you have to be above the roof to see it and Im not planning on selling the car. I do think this has to be a defect in the MIC hardtop to get discolored like that.

Wow, that is some really dumb, crazy bat shit response, that the damage is due to being left out in the sun after it was wet. I can pretty much guarantee that every owner of a bronco will do this at least once, every month. Their response makes no sense at all.
Fortunately you have the right attitude, and I know you will continue to enjoy your Bronco.

Your dealerships response literally just irritated me . Would absolutely despise my B or any car for that matter looking as such..

Do share back on how you resolve ..
