Lost full screen CarPlay after update😡

Yeah mine too. And if I start it up with both mine and the wife’s phone in the bronco it will freeze, time to listen to NPR. LOL

Android auto seems ok. In the F150 we have more issues than the Bronco.

Since the update, I haven’t had any problems with CarPlay, however, when I start the engine, the screen remains black (even though I can hear the sound). This usually lasts about 10-15 seconds and the screen returns. Even the backup camera will not work during this time.

CarPlay can definitely be glitchy. I've learned not to touch my phone until it is fully loaded. Lately, and when it "expand" loads on the screen, a section of what should be the corner of the screen freezes and sticks in the middle of the screen. Hopefully that goes away soon.

So glad I ordered Navi as an option, saved my ass a few times when carplay didnt respond in the first place

Full screen is back not sure what happened. Ford 4.2.3 update.

I have the nav, but love to use the CarPlay. When @Ford did an update awhile ago, Sync would tell me to install the update but it was updated. Did a master reset in the screen and that fixed everything. I was in IOS 17 beta soon after that. Now that had some issues especially with Maps and directional on the dash screen. Apple mostly fixed that but even today, there are minor issues that fixes it own the breaks randomly. If your screen is going black, try master reset in the screen. You’ll lose the bronco horse screen for a few days, but it all comes back. Just keep making sure everything is updated to include apps. Worse case, could be the HD or needs Sync to be reinstalled.

Full screen is back not sure what happened. Ford 4.2.3 update.

My Carplay was also split screen after the update but easily fixed by selecting the full screen button. Just mentioning in case others don't realize you can select between the 2 options.

Anyone else lose full screen CarPlay too? Is android auto full screen?

This morning I had full screen then an update and after the update no full screen anymore damn you ford!

Good morning. Are you still experiencing this CarPlay issue? If so, could you please send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer so I can take a closer look at this on my end?
