New to owning a Ford Bronco, left the top down on my car and it rained pretty hard last night, wiped everything down and took it for a drive and the horn started going off like some one was pushing the horn button for like 5 to 10 seconds. I managed to get home but 15 min later it started up again with out the car even being on, I don’t have an alarm on the car so I can only this it’s the horn. Anybody have any thought on what it might be. It’s not happened in the last two hours or so, I have the car out in the sun and I let it run with the heat on for about a 1/2 hour.

Now that we got that out of the way... Perhaps there's a short? You might be able to pull the fuse used by the horn to make it stop?

Also... maybe unhooking the battery for a few hours will force a 'reset'? Or maybe you need to lay on it a bit and see... my guess is that there's water in the steering wheel somewhere causing it to make contact and go off, so sitting in the sun is probably a good move.

If you are in traffic when it happens turn around really fast and act like the guy behind you did it. Or get out and start kicking the tire, that way the guy in front of you who is a trained assassin doesn't think its your fault.

Is your key fob in your pocket? The panic button gets pushed way too easily in a front pocket. I went into Forscan just to set that to a double press. Problem solved for me.

might eb key fob, also, on your ford pass app, there is a setting for lights and horns, I think on startup/doors locks, etc, but. havent tried it, just remember it on the app. If those are not the problem, and it might be a short, pull the wire from the horn until you get the warranty claim.

In my opinion, having a reliable horn is as essential as having gas in the tank. It's your voice on the road, your way of saying "Hey, watch out!" or "Thanks for letting me in!" So when that air horn decides to go on strike, it's like losing a part of your Bronco's soul.

Now, about the topic at hand, I reckon it's crucial for Bronco owners to share their experiences and solutions. After all, we're all in this wild ride together, navigating through the terrain of life and Bronco ownership. So, what do you all think? Have you encountered similar horn hiccups? Any creative fixes or tips to share?

As for me, I once had a honking headache with my old truck's horn. Ended up rigging a makeshift fix with duct tape and a bit of elbow grease. Not the prettiest solution, but it got the job done till I could get it properly sorted.

The horn on my B would go off randomly .. Super loud and super embarrassing .. Plus I'm sure it annoyed my entire cul d sac which is full of retired over 70 year olds..

Dragged it into Ford and the issue was resolved. Didn't even inquire as to what caused it .. glad it's simply resolved and the issue never returned..... Think I shared that here on another thread.

Good luck-- and hopefully you've had the issue resolved.
