Was playing with the GOAT modes today as I continue to make sure everything is in working order and noticed my Wildtrak only has 3 modes available out of the 7. Anyone else experience this? Dealer is looking into it as well. I was an ice mountain member for a chip hold so I am hopeful it just needs an update to a chip.

They should have told you if there was something that wouldn't work, chip related.

If you got ANY goat modes then the chip is there, otherwise, you wouldn't have any.

I’m hoping it’s just an update to the system and will be pretty simple. Wasn’t planning on using them until after a few hundred miles but still glad I checked on it.

It's a simple Forscan you can do at home with the plug and a laptop

Do all your hero switches work? And the transfer case (2h,4H,4A)?

That’s the more important stuff IMO.

What goats do you have available now?

Goat modes are only available when conditions match. Example, if you are over 25 or 30 mph, the system will not offer those that require 4L.

Are you checking at a standstill?

You can dial them all up when you are parked

I have been in park. As residual said they should all dial up when still. 4wd engages just fine so I know the transfer case is working. Again, hopefully it’s just a simple update. I understand the conditions thing when driving. Accidents happen but I would hope I am smart enough not to try and drive 60 in 4 low.

I knew a kid once who tried that in his Chevy Trailblazer.

Oddly enough, he needed a new transfer case afterwards! :ROFLMAO:

Oddly enough the son of our local ford dealer growing up did something similar because he thought he new cars since his dad owned the dealership.

My basesquatch only had normal and eco mode when I drove it home, just didn't care.

I fixed it when my forscan thing came in, now I have all goat modes! Just wish I had the swaybar disconnect for rock crawl.

Just got done at the dealer. Think we know the issue. When he pulled my VIN it has it labeled as a base, wildtrak, with Sasquatch. So they have it programmed as a base. Now we play the game of getting that corrected to get the correct programming pack.

My buddy had the same problem,
One key fob was programmed for everything “master”
The other Fob would be like a loaner for the kids or something to keep some stuff not available for others to use. “That one can be updated to allow all modes also”

Hey... I have a BaseSquatch! And if I wasn't so slow with getting to Forscan I'd have all the goat modes too now!
Tell your dealer it's a rather simple fix which can be found on B6G... you know, if they can't figure it out. ;)

The dealer has actually been good to me. If I couldn’t drive it that would be one thing, but I can do I can be patient and let them go through what they need to.

Your statement about the keys got me thinking. Tried my second key and everything worked. Cleared out the my key function on the key that had limited goat modes and now it has all 7 modes. Must have been something with the My Key. I will let my dealer know what I found out on Monday.

Same here, had a panic attack, then got rid of “my key” and all is well.
