Extended warranty on my 2022 Bronco

When I took delivery of my Bronco in August, I paid for and applied for a Ford/Lincoln Protect extended warranty. A couple of months later, I realized that I never got anything from Ford confirming that they issued a warranty contract and a copy of the detailed terms. So I called my dealer, and was told that Ford doesn't send me anything, which I find hard to believe. Has anyone out there received confirmation from Ford after they purchased an extended warranty at time of vehicle purchase?
I recently filled out the customer satisfaction survey that Ford emailed a few weeks ago, and mentioned my concern about this, but have not heard anything back. How can I verify that my dealer turned in my application and paid Ford to get me enrolled?

I am in the same boat. No verification.
It is a little unsettling isn’t it?

I just double checked my ford pass account. I purchased an extended warranty for my wife’s 22 Escape. It shows up on my account. Go into your Ford pass click on your car and then the warranty icon. Should have the standard and extended on there

Not familiar with pricing. Is it a significantly pricing different if you buy it now or if you buy it at 35,999 miles?

I just tapped my dealer to double check my account and make sure I am enrolled in extended warranty for two of my vehicles…. Mine doesn’t show up in my ZfordPass, though I believe it should…. I’ve bought extended warranties ever since I bought cars with 8” sync screens….

So I checked my Ford Pass account, and it did NOT show my extended warranty, so I called the number shown for the Ford Protect Sales Information number. Call quality was poor and I could tell the lady was distracted by a small child that was bugging her. I think she transferred me to the Current Plan Help line, at which point, the call quality was horrible, and I think I might have been talking to a lady in India. We could barely communicate, so I asked her to hang up and call me back. Phone rang, showing a Ford caller ID, I answered, but got a dial tone a second later.
Then, I decided to just call the Current Plan 800 number directly. I explained my problem to that lady, and she verified my VIN number did have a 7 year extended warranty. When I asked why it didn't show up in my account, she transferred me to Ford Pass help. I explained my problem to that lady, gave her my VIN, and she put me on hold for a while. She came back and said the problem was that my Ford Pass account first name was not the same as my first name on my vehicle purchase records. She said to edit my account settings, log out and wait a few minutes, and log back in. I did that, and now my extended warranty does show.
Thanks to TK1215 for getting me started off on the right foot this adventure, but a note to other people like me who use their middle name in daily business, but have to use their full name for things where name has to match SSN, like taxes, medical records and vehicle titles.

I checked my wife’s Sport and don’t even see a warranty icon. Can you tell me where it’s at, or where it should be?

Did exactly the same thing… zero paperwork nothing… then to top it off on my Ford Pass it says I have the factory warranty not the extended one… Called Ford they reassured me I had the extended coverage…

Ford is a joke … everything they do is half ass!!!

I'm glad this thread appeared on my feed. I have a few (thousand) questions, but I'll distill the most pressing ones here. :geek:

1. Is it NECESSARY to purchase an extended warranty at the time of delivery?
2. If you can delay purchasing an extended warranty until later, will it cost a lot more?
3. Are the prices of extended warranties negotiable?
4. Are all extended warranties the same?

My dealer offers four distinct levels of coverage. Most of them include all scheduled maintenance. The price breaks are as follows: Basic - $4,890, Essential - $6,775, Standard - $8,670 or Preferred - $9,860

These seem steep to me. I've done a little digging and learned that extended warranties cost the dealer half of what they're charging. While they're certainly entitled to make a living, it seems exorbitant to me. Anyone that knows me knows I'm not afraid to spend a LOT on my cars. But brother, c'mon!
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

1) No
2) it shouldn’t
3) yes I believe they are
4) Ford ESP has different levels of coverage, price and length. And they also have other warranty’s available that are separate from Fords
Check with @SlashRacer he was looking at them

Cool, thanks I will, @TK1215. The "early" arrival of my Bronco has shortened my savings plan quite a bit, and I'm trying to drop as much cash as I can on the vehicle itself and avoid financing anything I don't REALLY need right now. You know how it goes. Besides, it would cut into whatever mod budget I decide upon. 😆
