Display screen black?!

I haven't had solid black, but there have been a few times the touch screen was frozen and I could not advance music or pull up NAV. It was crazy hot on the dash then though. Will have to see how many more times this happens before it bothers me or if it is a real issue.
I am in a '21 4dr BD for reference. Good luck to you.

I turned my car on the other day and the screen wouldn’t come on (and thus radio etc). Anyone have this happen? I’m getting ready to leave the country for 5 weeks and will have it repaired while I’m gone but just wondered if anyone else has had this issue?

Yup......I think mine "Bricked" after an over the air update (but thats my best guess). Mine did exactly what yours did, just stopped working, went blank and its never come back. I tried all the resets, disconnected battery, pulled circuit breakers, push and hold the radio power button and fast forward button for several seconds.....and nothing. :poop: I had mine looked at the dealership over a month ago.......and I'm still waiting on parts (backordered).:poop: I wish you luck on your outcome!! In the mean time I suggest you pick up a little bluetooth speaker, will keep you entertained on your journeys. Post up what you discover.......I'm just patiently waiting.

Thats also what I read, was hoping that would be mine......but it hasn't been. I also read of another that did what yours did and eventually went out. I dunno......

Yup…..dealership visit. You can try all the common restarts like disconnecting the battery (resetting the power) pushing the FF button and power on button (I think that’s the correct sequence, someone correct me if I’m wrong) and I think there’s another reboot option but I can’t think of it off the top of my head.

Annnnyyyway, I was waiting on parts a couple months back, once replaced, it will work as it did before. Good luck to you! ✌

I just saw a YouTube video (while I was looking to program a key fob) that if you have a black screen, hit the reset button and it should fix the screen. If not, then you have to take it into the dealer.
