I've done sooo much worse in my 79. After over 2 DECADES of brutal abuse, I slapped a Chevy 1-wire on there because it was easier than fixing the old brittle wiring harness, even though the original alternator was still working. After 20 years of mud and abuse with not even inner fender wells, that one is still working great. So 40+ years of technological advancement has got us here? Where I can't get my Bronco dirty or it will quit working?? It's ok, Chevy can't make an engine that doesn't need lifters every 70k miles, and, well, our 2.7s will probably need timing chain guides every 70k, I mean mechanical reliability doesnt exist anymore. I just hate that I sold that 2007 Corolla, probably the last reliable and affordable vehicle on the planet
