I get this clicking noise on the passenger side while driving. The noise is similar to having a pebble stick in the tire, that same rhythm, but it's not a constant click, rather it starts up around 30 MPH and up. It sounds like it's on the outside of vehicle but can't find anything. I thought it might be the seat belt straps, since it only happens with the windows down and/or T-Tops off, but it still occurs while holding straps tight. I'll order the seat belt clips but didn't know if anyone else is experiencing this noise under the same circumstances.

I remember ready a post about this. It could be the window it’s the draw back of a frameless window. Try rolling the window down almost all the way then stick a small piece of foam like an ear plug, between the window and the seal and see if that stops the clicking. If it does then you have isolated the issue and can see if your service department has a fix. Don’t go crazy with the foam and be careful you do not damage the seal. Good luck.

I don’t believe he thinks it is coming from the window, just that he hears it when the window is down. Maybe The clicking of the dual fuel injection?

If I recall correctly from one of my binge watching sessions of you tube content someone mentioned a popping noise in the door. In their case it was due to the door fasteners not being tightened correctly after reinstalling the doors. Not sure if have had the doors off but it doesn't cost anything to check. Good luck. Hope you find the cause.

Window track might need to be adjusted. Mine would rattle pretty bad over bumps if they were halfway down. Took it to the service dept and they fixed it.

Probably a dumb question but could it be the window itself? These windows make unnerving noises when not all the way up nor all the way down. The sound you describe sounds different but 10 people could hear the same thing and have 9 or 10 descriptions of the sound so just throwing that out there.

All good troubleshooting thoughts, but don't think it's that technically related. I'm guessing its wind related with something, but once I install the seat belt retention clips, I'll know for sure. One step at a time.

SOLVED: Took one more look around all four tires and found a small pebble lodged on outside of wheel. As Homer Simpson would say, "DOPE".

Glad it was an easy fix. My next suggestion was to just turn the radio up. LOL
