2022 Bronco Badlands
4-door
Manual Transmission
issue discovered ~ 19,000 miles

(video at 21,510 miles)

(video at 22,263 miles)

Hello all,

I am experiencing a BUZZ / RATTLE at RPM.
I get this noise when I shift between gears every time I drive, it's more annoying when you hear it between shifts, as it's quiet, then a loud flutter vibration then goes away as RPM's fall.

I'm holding RPM in video's so you can hear the noise at a steady rate.

The vehicle has been to the dealership 5 times now, and they have held it for multiple days.
They can "reproduce the issue, but we cannot find the source"

I have ESP Contract, but they are wanting me to pay $1500 for diagnostics for this "as it may not be covered by ESP"

Ford customer service is currently no help as we have a case open and the case owner is slow to respond, is not helping the situation.
The last communication was a few days ago asking "how can the dealer determine if this is ESP covered... and no answer"
And the dealer is CC'd on the communication and she has never responded to any of his email.

This is the one of 3 Fords in our family, my wife's father ran Ford Service departments his entire career, before passing.

I feel like I am being let down by Ford in a major way.

We've asked for a buy back as this is a chronic issue, and we were also plagued with transmission replacement that took 120 days to complete with my car sitting at the Dealer lot. To date, my vehicle has been in for service at the dealership for over 200 days ! (thus my low miles). We declined an earlier buy-back with the transmission issue, but declined it as it would have been $12,000 out of pocket for me to get into the exact same model just a year newer, so made no sense ! (NOTE: declining buy-back does NOT make you ineligible for another buy-back)

Help please !

Here was my transmission service order: (120 days)

My service record looks like this:
- Day 1 reservation holder
- Vehicle Built
- While in transit to my selling dealer, hit by hail damage, got letter saying "totaled"
- A week later Ford rep says "we're going to fix your hail damage, take or leave it or get back in the waiting line"
- Hail repaired and then delivered to my dealer
- I took delivery of my vehicle and then I took it back to dealership for more repair of damaged parts from hail Ford dint fix
- Driver rear door doent close all the time, took to dealer, from Factory had bent frame mount and they had to pull it out
- Took in multiple times for grinding noise from transmission
- Finally TSB released for bad transmissions and transmission was replaced (took 120 days)
- Gap on hard top, and put entire hand up to second knuckles into interrior from outside. Hard top middle section replaced
- Hard top still an issue, replaced additional parts
- Vibration rattling noise haunting me now for the past 9 months

@Ford Motor Company can i kindly have some eyes on this ?

My vehicle is still in the shop.
Having purchased a new vehicle and it being in the shop for 200+ days is not a pleasant feeling.
I expect more from Ford, especially as my other 2 vehicles are 2021 Ford Bronco Sport and 2022 Maverick

Man that is rough. It sounds like it was a doomed Bronco from the start. Is it a MY21 or MY22 not that it matters but you know what they say about buying the first year of a car. I disagree I had the first year escape (the good looking one) and it was a great car, I still see it driving around here. we also had the 1st year Malibu and that was a good car 165k in 4 years not one problem.
I hope Ford can get this worked out.
BN 1100, Desert Sand Everglades. Reservation 7/30/20. ordered 1/22/21, reordered 10/15/21 dropped tow and hard top, reordered 3/9/22 changed to Everglades. production date 9/7/22 rescheduled 9/14/22 completed 9/26/22, shipped 10/7/22, arrived 10/31/22, delivered 11/03/22

There have been numerous issues with the manual transmission. I know there was a TSB, and possibly a recall?

with being a day-1 reservation holder it was supposed to be '21, however i got a '21 after my 2year and 5day wait

My transmission already had the TSB and while in for the TSB another TSB came out, and then since it was there for 120-days for the transmission TSB for just sent a full new transmission. So transmission was fully replaced already. :( (transmission replaced ~ 3500 miles )

Unfortunately dealership wants me to spend $1500 for continued "diagnostics" as they cannot pinpoint the issue, yet "we can reproduce it, just cant find it"
