Bought a Ford Bronco 2021 from my local dealer and I am super stoked, however there were a couple issues with the vehicle. One of the issues was my driver door window would not lower or raise as the other windows did when car door was opened. Nor when I would activate my Global windows with my Key fob, the driver door window would not lower. My Service Dept at Ford did not know what the issue was and put me on a backorder waitlist to replace the window motor. After googling and searching the forum here, I was able to resolve the issue.
First you may ask what is Auto Indexing windows? What I found is below. Second question is how I resolved the issue. First step I disconnected the Negative cable from my battery and reconnect. Second step I pushed the start button but did not step on brake. This is the accessory mode. Third step I rolled window down until window stopped and continued to hold button down until the count of 5, then rolled up until window stopped and held button till the count of 5 and I did this again for 2 cycles all while the door was closed. Turned vehicle on and problem was fixed. I hope this helps.
I know there are similar issues in this forum but some members responses were calloused to say if you do a search you can find your issue however the search did not provide direct results.
Auto indexing windows are basically driver and passenger side windows that automatically roll down when you open your doors, and roll back up when you close them to create a water-tight seal.
