Apple Car Play and phone call audio issue

I did a search, but couldn't find anything specifically on point. I have a new 2024 Badlands with the High Lux package and Sasquatch Package. I picked it up last week and have been going over all the electronics and trying to get things set up properly. I have connected both my and my wife's iPhone 15's to the Bronco via Bluetooth and Apple Car Play. Both phones connect easily and automatically. My issue specifically is when my phone connects via wireless Apple Car Play and I attempt to make a phone call, there is no audio. I can make the call without issue and the call connects to the intended recipient, but I cannot hear the recipient and they cannot hear me. Not matter what I do during the call, I cannot get the audio to work. The only way I have found to make the phone call audio work is to go into the Synch phone settings and toggle Apple Car Play off so it connects just via Bluetooth and then toggle Apple Car Play back on. Once I do this, the phone audio works as it should with no issues. This is a repeatable error with the phone and happens upon initial wireless Apple Car Play connection every time so far. The toggle on/off of Apple Car Play in Sync always fixes the issue, but I don't want to have to do this every time I get in the vehicle. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you fix it?

We've had a similar issue with navigation and phone audio that was at such a low volume we could just bearly hear it. Sure after these whispers we'd turn up the dash & steering wheel volume buttons, but no change in the next audio - Still just a whisper.

Our solution was stupid simple - Turn up the volume whule there was an active audio signal, not before or after.

I know this seems weird, but we're working with the digital modules that control everything on these Broncos - Some just ain't rational!

Hope this works for you.

I have this problem on my 21 Edge ST, my 21 Powerboost, and my 22 Bronco. We are using Google phones (thanks Uncle G) and is common across all my vehicles. My son's 19 BMW and Google phone works flawlessly (he is on our plan, same phone), so I put it as a commonality on FORD.
We have to hangup and recall to get it to work right.
I believe it is connecting corruptly from phone to info center and not completing a "handshake" for the comms.

I was hoping a software patch would address, but has been ongoing since buying all these vehicles, and we just get used to it.

I do not think it is Carplay per se, but the handshake from phone to infotainment center. Just my observation.

I tried adjusting the volume, but it didn't solve my problem. The only way I could hear a call was to switch to the standard bluetooth connection and then go back to the Car Play connection. This would get things working normally.
