I’ve had this 2door badlands for less than a week and the alarm keeps going off for NO reason. What the hell.

*update* ford pass says it’s the hood latch setting it off. Called 3 dealerships near me. No one has appointments available for a month. I can drop it off for 2 days, but they do not have any loaner cars to give me so I guess they expect me to camp out at the dealership

Key fab was hanging on the key holder with no one near it. The other two times it was resting on the top of my purse with no one near it. Ford pass app is saying it’s being triggered by the hood latch. Apparently this is a common problem with Ford, not just the Bronco.

I have this same issue as of 2 days ago. Alarm goes off, I get a notice from Ford pass my hood is open . It also says the hood is open while driving.

Try opening your hood and then let it slam closed. If that doesn't work then maybe adjust (lower) your hood height using the twist top adjusters on left/right with hood open.

My 2022 Black Diamond is doing the same damn thing. I also got the same message say that the hood is unlatched. I guess it's time to call the dealer.

When strange things like this happen to a Bronco, there are only two distinct possibilities:

1. Aliens
2. Gremlins

It sounds like your problem here was the latter.

I had the exact same issue with my 2 door Big Bend, after about 6 weeks. Randomly and at the worst hours the horn would be blaring. Sunday nights were a popular time. Always with the hood unlatched alert. ( it never was) Did some online searching and turns out this is a problem for a bunch of Ford models.
Dropped by my dealership, they verified the alarm alerts and in like 10 seconds said they would order a replacement. Not the first time they had seen it. They checked it over and I think disconnected it until the replacement could be installed about 3 weeks later, no charge. So far all quiet and no alerts. (Hope I didn’t jinx it )
So, contact your dealership. Should be easy, aside from the inconvenience.

I haven’t had any more issues since they replaced the latch assembly. I also haven’t opened my hood since it happened. Hoping that when I do my oil change and open the hood it doesn’t mess up the sensors again.

Ha! I have thought the same thing since my replacement. Hopefully this will be the end of the alerts.

Had my Black Diamond for a week, hood alert goes off periodically while driving which i can deal with but twice in our underground parking it has gone off with horn and lights and Fordpass has alerted me. Luckily only in the early evening, it would suck if it was at 2am. Purchasing dealer is a ways away, I will have to sit there waiting all day.....

I have my Wildtrak a week, hood alarm goes off after 30 minutes to 1 1/2 of being parked everyday. After I adjusted the hood stops last Sunday, it stopped until today and now I get unusual activity alarm. So back to the dealer on Friday.

Wellllllll this is now my issue.... First Hood Ajar kept coming on... Then the alarm starts magically going off...

Then I noticed a message in the Ford Pass app advising that the hood being opened triggered the alarm... Of course that message is now gone... However, I was able to snap a pic of the message in the dash...

Kinda' annoyed -- as when Ford looked they weren't able to see anything when they checked my account of alerts.. None the less .. Hauling it in to the dealer this week... UGH!!

Hi there! I can look into your Bronco's error message concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?

They replaced my hood sensor and I haven’t had a problem ever since. I’ve opened the hood a few times as well and it seems to be fine.

When I saw the alert on my dash .. I came STRAIGHT here to this panel... Thought I know my B isn't the only one.
Appreciate you sharing... Hopefully this will be resolved soon enough..
