Hey folks, hoping for some guidance. I’ve got a 2025 Bronco 2.3 auto and with the cold nights it is really not wanting to shift in the mornings. This morning it revved to 4000 rpm before it finally shifted and made a whining noise. It’s not even had its first oil change yet so not many miles and what miles it does have are highway miles. Just curious of if this is common? Thanks!

My 2022 2.7 auto can get a little weird if I don’t let it warm up before driving. That being said with all the sensors and computers involved I count be a bad sensor. You may have to leave it at the dealership overnight in the cold and see if they can duplicate the issue or find a fault in the computer system

Guarantee that’s the problem! Prolly the same reason my Superduty has a shift flare from 3-4. 🤣

We have lots of cold starts here in Colorado at 7,500ft. I don't recall our '23 Wildtrak ever having a late shift like you've described. Sure, in 'Sprot' and 'Baja' GOAT modes there are higher RPM shift points, but am assuming you're not in those modes..

FYI, I run a 15 count primer spin on our 2.7L before cold starts and don't back out until the warmup idle drops below 1,000 RPMs.

Suggest a dealership visit to check your tranny. I had our dealer check a engine surge issue we have with low range 4 mode down shifts. Heck, they kept our Bronco a week on that visit and said it was operating at factory spec..

Cheers
