National Park Week is happening this Saturday, 4/19 through Sunday, 4/27. The 2025 theme is National Park Playlist, which celebrates musical connections to national parks and the American story. I can’t imagine driving anywhere — from local errands or a 4-day road trip — without music playing in my car. And my playlist is all over the place. Some days I can’t get enough of Bob Marley and other days it’s 80s rock all the way (with a mix of every other genre in between!). And let’s just say, as soon as I hear the opening guitar riff of “Where the Streets Have No Name” by U2, I instantly get chills and want to drive fast (but safely!) down the freeway. Every time.

I’ve been streaming Pandora stations based upon The Rolling Stones, Audioslave, and Credence Clearwater Revival, to whom I can listen for hours. I dive into some Depeche Mode for nostalgia and Nick Drake when I’m feeling mellow. My randomizer keeps things interesting.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.
