Just want to send out prayers to all of those people in Texas affected by the flooding. I know that the Texas Off-Roadeo is north and east of Kerryville. I pray that the employees, and BN members and their families, who live and work in the impacted areas are safe and that if they need help, are getting it. If any member in the are can give an update, please do.

Tim we are fine. Yes we are in the hill country.
We have high ground about 315 ft above the Guadalupe River. We did have two flooding events Friday was about 45 miles to our west and yesterday it was 22 mile to our east. Friday we rolled to Kerville to see if we could help out and by the time we could reach the area the water was way down and we didn’t want to get in the way, there was a lot of that. So we came home. I can tell you there is a lot of devistation in the Kerville area. One of those pictures is the RV park we were going to stay at this weekend but we needed to finish our pantry update so we canceled at the last minute. Picture just don’t convey the true magnitude of the destruction. The people of Kerr county are in our thoughts.

Did the house on stilts get flooded? Looks like they were thinking ahead.

The house was spared as the debris line was only 3/4 up the stairs so the house was fine. The cyber truck in the garage was not spared however. The house next door on stilts did not fair so well, there was a tundra in the house. And it looked like at least two houses that were gone all together. A very sad sight. But there was some good sights seeing livestock and horses just across the road eating but you could tell they were in knee deep water most the morning.

I heard roundabout that Bronco Off-Roadeo Texas's people are all safe and ok. Destruction like @Jakob1972 posted down the road, however. A devastating disaster.

Glad to hear that. What a tragedy, and it seems to be getting worse by the day.

@Jakob1972, can you check with local contacts and see what immediate needs they have down there. Maybe we can get some centralized drop off locations and get stuff rolling. Maybe check with the Red Cross?

I read an article where they found two sisters still arm in arm that drown. I guess they were from the camp. God bless these families. May he keep them strong during this time.

Laura pretty much nailed it here. these are the best places to give.

We also found a dog yesterday not sure if it is coincidence or somehow part of the flooding but we are trying to locate the owners see if it has been chipped or something.

Good idea to check with animal shelters to see if they might also need donations.
