Hello B-Nation
2022 Ford Bronco 4Dr Outer Banks non BO system and no sub.
I want a good amount of bass. Prefer 10s or 12s and PLUG AND PLAY.
Has anyone have experience with the Kicker down firing 46hs10 or 12s?
Here's the other dilemma
I have a Ford Bronco security drawer. My concern is the metal security drawer vibrating.
I would consider the factory sub location, but it only houses max 8s I think.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

I know a few people who have done down-firing subs, but I don't know anyone with the security drawer that has done it.

One of the guys at my local cars and coffee has a down-facing sub, and he ended up having to install carpet in the rear cargo area to knock down some of the echos and rattling. So yeah... I agree with your concern. Easy to see how the drawer (or stuff within the drawer) would vibrate with subs on top.

The factory location can hold up to 10", but only with an aftermarket (or custom) sub enclosure. The OEM enclosures max out at 200mm (≈8"). The JL Audio Stealthbox is an example of an 10" enclosure, but it's a little pricy. That said... I think it may be worth it if you consider the fact that you won't lose any cargo space.

I think you are right on. I don't want to lose anymore cargo space

I haven't looked in to a system in my wife's bronco. I do think Ford dislikes bass for some reason, lol. I've owned 3 new ones in the last few years and all three had weak bass.
