Rock Crawl Goat Mode

I thought when i got my new 2024 Wildtrak it would have all the GOAT modes. However, it does not have the Rock Crawl mode for some unknown reason. I am assuming it is nothing more than a computer program sub routine. Is there some way to turn it on or add it.

Since it is one of the more expensive models does anyone know why it is not installed.

Thank you for your time and help.

It can be added with ForScan.

My take: It wasn't included because, unlike its near-twin Badlands, it doesn't have skid plates and is not intended for rock crawling. Then, your Wildtrak does have Sport, which the Badlands doesn't, because of its (Badlands) extra weight.
As Saveup mentioned, both can be upgraded with ForScan. So get that done, but remember if you do go rockcrawling, that your bottom is exposed. 😜

You can option the skid plate on the Wildtrak. Or you could when I bought my Wildtrak. Tossed them and added actual skid plates. (kept the front one)

Put it in 4 lo. Turn on the lockers. Bam. Rock crawl mode.

If you want the "throttle control," then lean your foot up against the tunnel for more control.

I'm not even being a smart ass, totally serious.

The older I get the more my bottom is exposed. Big Deal!!

@EZAPAR should know… He’s spent more time at very low speed and off-road in his Bronco than the vast majority of us.

My model has the Rock crawl mode and when I am in the rocks I am usually in Mud and Ruts then just put it in 4 low and turn on and off lockers as needed. I run open diffs until I need to lock them in. I usually try an obstacle and if I can’t finesse my way over it I’ll lock the rear and if that doesn’t work I’ll add the front locker. But I can say I have only used the front locker a hand full of times.

Cheers. I've been at this for a long time. Subarus (which I would build myself, probably 12 or more), then my Toyota and my TJ, which I traded for a Bronco. A little over 20 years worth, and now 2.5 years of driving a Bronco.

Does playing with an R/C crawler count as far as a simulator? :)

I added Rock crawl on my Wildtrak, and I like using it. I thought all that was going to be kind of gimmicky, but I like the adjustments it makes to the steering, breaking and shift points. It’s worth doing the forscan work to add it in.

I have been out quite a bit with mine and have only added the shock skids just yet, cause that’s where I would catch stuff. Full skids are in the books for the spring, but so long as you are thinking about where you are putting your wheels and what is exposed and where i wouldn’t let the lack of skids be a bar to getting out on a trail or two. A dirty muddy dusty Bronco is a happy Bronco.
