Radio Volume Not Working

I have a 23 4dr Badlands. Today on the way home the volume on the radio was low. Reached for the knob, turned it up and the volume stayed the same. I could turn it up to max and it stayed the same. Turned it back to zero on the dial, stayed the same. If I had to guess the level is around a 6 on the volume scale. I also tried the phone. Made a call and turned it up to max, it stayed at the same. One thing I forgot to do is try the vol. on the steering wheel. The other issue, I think, is that it says "prompt volume" when you are turning the dial, either up or down. I don't remember seeing the word prompt before.

Any one had, have, or has this issue?

Thanks,
Dave

Here is what GROK.com said about the prompt volume and possible fix.

"Prompt Volume" specifically refers to the adjustable level for voice guidance prompts (e.g., navigation directions from SYNC). This display only appears if you're actively turning the volume knob while a prompt is playing. In that case:
  • The media audio temporarily ducks (lowers) to prioritize the prompt.
  • Adjusting the knob sets the prompt volume independently, and the screen shows "Prompt Volume" to indicate this mode.
  • Once the prompt ends, subsequent volume adjustments return to controlling media volume without the "Prompt Volume" label.
This is a built-in design for safety and clarity, allowing you to fine-tune prompt loudness separately from your radio or music (e.g., so navigation isn't too quiet or overpowering). It's consistent across SYNC 4-equipped Fords, including the Bronco, and isn't something that shows up every time unless a prompt is active.
If you're seeing "Prompt Volume" unexpectedly during normal radio use (with no navigation or voice prompt active), it could be a software glitch—try restarting the infotainment system by holding the power/volume knob for 10 seconds or checking for SYNC updates via the FordPass app. For more details, refer to the 2023 Bronco owner's manual (section on SYNC settings) or the Ford support site.

Woke up this morning and the 1st thing that I saw, was the volume working properly on my 23 Badlands. Not sure what I hit last night or what happened, but it's been working fine today. Case Closed....for now.

We had a weird volume issue in our silverado this past weekend. on the way home the sound went to mono and only the front dash speakers were working, I could not adjust the fade or left right. shut the truck off then turned it back on a few seconds later and we had stereo and all speakers were working again. I think it is an wireless apple carplay, issue on my end. the Bronco flakes out at least once every time I drive it. It does it everytime I pass a Cell tower in Bergheim. It also does a weird thing from time to time where it freezes on a songs cover art and it will not allow me to skip or go back until I reboot or shut off but it still plays songs. to be fair I am running an ancient Iphone 7 plus, so that could be it.
