Oracle flush mount lights SNAFU…

Hard Day?? Wuuuusahhhhhhhh

Feb 17, 2025

Noticed the other day one of the LED arrays on my flush mount lights has quit lighting… Haven’t dug in yet but have been in contact with Oracle, and of course the lights are out of warranty…

Figuring the issue is one of the following…
1. The array has crapped out and will need replacement… (argh)
2. Forscan burped somehow and I need to re-program (have secure 2-month Forscan to accomplish this)
3. A connector has somehow rattled loose and just needs to be cleaned and re-connected…

Order of attack…
1. Pull the errant assembly out and check connections
2. Pull the lights from both sides and plug driver side assembly into passenger side assembly to see if the errant LED’s will light.
3. Put everything back together and check the Forscan settings…
4. Order new assembly (argh)…

Happy Monday…

When this happened to me, Oracle sent me a free replacement. I was 2 months out of warranty. Contact them and they should take care of you. But let me know if they don’t and I’ll ensure your issue gets visibility where they won’t ignore it.

They emailed me yesterday and asked for the batch number and my shipping address, so fingers crossed…

Excellent. For some reason I see a LOT of these same failures almost always on the driver's side. I'm disappointed in the long term quality.

Hmm that is interesting, it’s kinda like on the 2001-2006 Suburban/Tahoes always had the passenger DRL out, seems like they should be able to regulate and equalize the voltage better.

Obviously a known issue, as they didn’t blink (much) though out of warranty by almost a year (Mar 2024)…
